Pink has always been a confident, tough girl so it was no surprise when she did not let body shaming go unnoticed after many people made remarks about her weight from a photo taken while she was attending an event last month.

Her twitter message to the body shamers went viral after she wrote, “I can see that some of you are concerned about me from your comments about my weight. While I admit that the dress didn’t photograph as well as it did in my kitchen, I will also admot that I felt very pretty. In fact, I feel beautiful. […] And I’m not worried about you either… I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off. Thanks for your concern. Love, cheesecake.”

On Tuesday May 12 the singer attended another event with her husband Carey Hart where she once again looked beautiful and expanded on why she fought back against the mean-spirited remarks made about her.

“I don’t take well to bullying,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I never have. I’m not a person that will be bullied. I’m not a person that will stand by watching other people get bullied.”

“I’m raising a girl. I am a girl, I have feelings. People think I take no s–t and I’m tough, tougher than nails, but I’m a human being.”

She went on to confirm that she is perfectly happy, regardless of judgments made, “I don’t care. My life is full, I like food a lot and I really like to cook, I like to live, I find joy in that, and we’re doing all right in the Hart household.”
