Portia de Rossi And Ellen DeGeneres Deny Baby Rumors
Published on October 14, 2014.Ellen DeGeneres always has the biggest stars on her talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, including her own wife, Portia de Rossi.
DeGeneres treated Portia like any other celebrity guest by joking around and asking tough questions about work and even love.
The pair talked about the show Scandal, which Portia is currently guest starring on and they also discussed tabloid rumors that have been plaguing the couple.
The pair, who have been married for six years, have been in the spotlight various times through their relationship and even underwent speculation they were splitting up in 2013.
Ellen even confronted the rumors on her own show, stating to the audience, “There’s not one ounce of truth to any of it. I am very happily married. The only thing we ever argue about is who loves who more, it really is true.”
Since the couple are clearly going strong, new rumors are circulating around the two possibly welcoming a baby into their family, so they took on the speculation together during Portia’s interview.
DeGeneres said to her wife, “One of the main things that everybody is asking me about, and asking you about, and I thought I would let you clear it up, is if we’re having a baby or not? So, I thought maybe you should answer that question.”
To which the 41-year old Portia stated, “That would be so fun for everybody if we were.” “Yeah, we waited way too long,” DeGeneres answered.
Until finally Portia said, “Clearly. Yeah, so um, no.” “We’re not gonna have a baby?” DeGeneres asked. “No we’re not,” was Portia’s reply.
That clears it up, the two are not having a baby no matter what the tabloids say.
The speculations continued even after years and years of both women stating that they love children but agreed they definitely do not want any of their own, “So, it’s just going to be me and Ellen and no babies,” Portia explained in a magazine back in May of 2013.
It was a cute way for the couple to share the non-baby announcement and squash the rumors.
Afterwards, Ellen even dunked Portia in water for charity, $10,000 goes towards breast cancer research every time someone gets dunked in the tank.
