Prince William And Princess Kate Welcome Royal Baby Number Two

She’s finally here!

Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the arrival of their second child– a Princess!

On May 2, 2015  at 8:34 Prince William and Princess Kate welcomed a healthy baby girl, after a highly publicized and well documented pregnancy.

As was announced the royal couple broke tradition by releasing the news via Twitter with the Kensington Palace account which wrote, “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8:34 am. The baby weighs 8 lbs 3 oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.”

The Palace announced the pregnancy back in September after Kate fell victim to another severe case of morning sickness as she did with her first child Prince George, forcing the couple to announce the pregnancy early due to her sickness requiring hospitalization.

Much of the world has been on high alert for the “Royal Baby Watch” as no exact due date was given but Kate did reveal they were expecting the baby from mid-to-late April with many reports confirming she had gone way past her due date. Of course many could also not wait to learn the gender of the new royal as Will and Kate had decided to wait until their little one’s arrival to find out.

Now that Prince George, who will turn 2 this July, has a new sister, the whole family is expected to spend a couple days at their Kensington Palace hom in London before heading north to their Anmer Hall home for the summer.
