Prince William believes two paparazzi have essentially placed his young son, George, and his nanny under surveillance and has sent two final warning legal letters in order to stop them.
There have been increasing incidences of particular paparazzi pursuing George and his nanny while she takes him for walks through close by parks and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have had enough. A spokesman for the royal pair stated, “The Duke and Duchess have taken legal steps to ask that an individual ceases harassing and following both Prince George and his nanny as they go about their ordinary lives…There is reason to suspect that the individual may have been placing Prince George under surveillance and monitoring his daily routines for a period of time.”
Although William and Kate understand the public role of their family, they are primarily concerned for George’s safety and want to allow him to have as normal and happy childhood as possible. The spokesman also added, “No parent would tolerate the suspicion of someone pursuing and harassing their child and carer whilst their child is playing in a public park or going about their daily lives.”
While William and Kate’s concern is very understandable, their concern of the paparazzi is naturally increased after his mother, Princess Diana, was killed in a car crash after pursuit of the paparazzi.
