After announcing the pregnancy of her second child with Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge has suffered from severe morning sickness causing her to cancel several engagements.
Last month, Princess Kate had to cancel plans to go on her first solo royal tour to Malta and was replaced instead by her husband.
Kate also just announced she will not be attending an event scheduled for Monday October 13, when she was supposed to visit sailor Sir Ben Ainslie’s America Cup team base in Portsmouth, England.
Kate also suffered from very severe morning sickness known as hyperemesis gravidarum during her first pregnancy with George and there is no cure for the illness.
According to palace sources, her engagements are not being formally announced as she is monitored for what she is capable of doing from day to day.
Earlier in October, Prince William met a leading midwife, Professor Lesley Page, while presenting her with an award for her services to midwifery and jokingly asked her, “I don’t suppose you’d like to come help us out, would you?”
Prince William feels very bad for his wife and would just like to see her better, as well as facing rumors that part of Kate’s condition could possibly be because she is having twins.
