For years now, Drew and Jonathan Scott, affectionately known simply as the Property Brothers to HGTV fans, have been two of the most popular hosts on the network. At 38 years old, the twin brothers have had multiple extremely successful series, a music career, and a bestselling book, with their second scheduled for a September 5 release. On top of it all, they have their own production company, and while it seemed dating and their personal lives had taken a back seat to their busy professional lives, they are now celebrating their success and their happiness they have finally found romantically.
“This is the most humbling, unexpected, fantastic place to be in my life,” Jonathan said of his relationship with his 28-year-old girlfriend Jacinta Kuznetsov who works as a development producer for Scott Entertainment. “I’ve never been happier,” he added to People magazine.
As for his brother Drew, he recently became engaged to 31-year-old Linda Phan who also works at Scott Entertainment as a creative director. “I’ve always been focused on work, so to have this beautiful woman in my life and knowing we’re getting married, it’s amazing,” Drew gushed.
Jonathan also opened up about being married previously and then staying away from longterm relationships for quite awhile after the brief union came to an end. “We were young, and there was a rush going into it,” he said. During his single stretch, he often joked about third-wheeling on his brother’s dates, and even though some found it odd, continued to live with Drew and Linda after she moved in back in 2012. “People were always like, ‘Isn’t that weird?’ But there’s an ease to it. You wake up and you got to work. It’s nice and really convenient to be able to have meetings with the people you live with,” Linda explained.
Now, although the brothers still own a joint home in Las Vegas, they are living quite far apart as Linda and Drew purchased a new home in Los Angeles while Jonathan and Jacinta make their home in Toronto, Canada.
With their personal and professional lives absolutely thriving, the next step will be starting families of their own. “I’m definitely looking forward to having kids. Linda and I have talked about it, and we’ve considered adopting,” Drew said. Jonathan added, “I love kids, and I get along great with kids. Plus I’m very immature, so that helps.”
“If I had to picture what a joyous life is, it would be working with my family [and] having a beautiful partner who supports me and has her own passions,” says Jonathan. “This is it,” adds Drew. “This is happiness.”
