RHOBH Recap: Lisa Rinna Finally Owns It And Kim Confronts Her

Bravo

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for! Lisa Rinna finally owned up to making comments about Kim Richards sobriety on last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which aired on Tuesday, Feb. 28.

This week viewers get to meet Carnie Wilson, a new friend of Kyle Richards who she met on Celebrity Apprentice. The two of them get together for a pastry party as Kyle helps Carnie introduce her treats to the rest of the girls. Lisa Rinna expresses concern over going to the party because at this point she’s still unsure if she made the alleged comments, but she’s also confused as to why Eden would make up, “I swear to God, I don’t remember saying any of these things to Eden, but I also don’t think that Eden would lie,” she said. After a quick pep talk from her husband, Harry Hamlin, she finally admitted she said the comments and vowed to come clean about it.

Erika Girardi is the first person Rinna confessed to. The two were in the limo on the way to the pastry party when Rinna turned to Girardi and mumbled, “I think I said everything.” Erika expressed concern for her friend and even told Rinna she was “going to get it.” In Erika’s one on one interview with the camera she said, “I hate hearing this. Kim’s going to kill her. It’s tough. She’s going to get f–ked up.” When they arrived at the party, Rinna immediately turned to Eileen Davidson for help and pulled her aside to tell her, “I said it. I said all of it.” Similar to Erika, Davidson simply said, “that changes a lot” and looked nervous for her.

In the middle of the party, Rinna decides to come clean in front of everyone. “After game night, I met with Eden, and I said some things in the heat of the moment that I didn’t remember exactly, and now that I’ve had time to think about it and to talk to Harry about it, I said them. I said them,” said Rinna. Kyle Richards is not happy to learn that Rinna flat out lied to her in Mexico and Kim wasn’t ready to accept her apology with open arms. “You are always saying things, and then you’re like, ‘Oh I said it, and I’m sorry!’ You told Eden that I am near death, that I am not in a good place — that is so uncalled for,” said Kim. Rinna’s whole defense was that she said those things in the heat of the moment because she was still upset about what happened at game night earlier in the season.

Some of the other girls chimed in to defend Kim like Vanderpump and Dorit, but Kim didn’t need any help. She fired back, “You don’t think of the consequences for other people! My children are affected. My sisters are affected. My friends are affected. My grandchild will be affected!” Rinna then backpedaled when she said she questioned Kim’s sobriety after game night because “a sober person doesn’t act like that.” Eden wasn’t off the hook for her part in it either as Kim turned to her and said, “You, being in recovery, go around and repeat it!” She also told her to stop comparing her relationship with her late sister to the one she has with her sister Kyle. Rinna chimed in once again, because she hadn’t said enough already, and told Kim she wasn’t being very compassionate to Eden’s situation.

The conversation somehow went from Rinna apologizing for spreading lies about Kim’s sobriety to two seasons ago when Kim made odd comments about Harry Hamlin. Kim denied this, but even Kyle told her she had “implied” something back when the girls were in Amsterdam. “Do you know how many people have come up to him and said, ‘What did you do? So it did hurt our family,” said Rinna. Kim finally apologized, and Rinna seemed to accept it. They all agreed to move on from the situation once and for all and all the women seemed satisfied….except for Vanderpump.
