Robin Williams’ Widow Susan Schneider Speaks Out For First Time Since His Death

It has taken a long time for Susan Schneider to get to a place where she is able to talk about her late husband, beloved comedian and actor Robin Williams after he tragically died of suicide in August 2014 at the age of 63.

Now that she is ready, Schneider is opening up for the first time in an ABC News interview with Amy Robach, set to air on Good Morning America and Nightline on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

In a sneak peek of the sit-down that was released by ABC, Schneider can not help but get emotional when talking about Williams, stating, “It’s the best love I ever dreamed of.” She is then asked, “You’ve said that Robin struggled with his own demons. Was he spiralling out of control,” and gets very upset when thinking about the last years of Williams life in which it was revealed after his death he suffered with anxiety, depression and Parkinson’s disease.

In the interview, Schneider even recalls the moment she learned of his death, sobbing while saying, “I just screamed, ‘Robin, what happened? What did you do?'”

The promo clip also states that Schneider shared never before seen home videos and also discusses the legal dispute that raged on over his estate between herself and his children from his previous marriages. “I feel like Robin’s voice has been heard and I can finally grieve in the home we shared together.”
