Ryan Reynolds Talks Fatherhood And Baby Daughter’s Name

Blake Lively, 27, and Ryan Reynolds, 38, have kept to themselves and focused on adjusting to parenthood since welcoming their baby daughter over the holidays and although she came a bit early, everything went well and everyone is healthy.

While many of us would love to see a picture of what a child by the stunningly beautiful Lively and incredibly handsome Reynolds would look like, the pair have remained tight-lipped and won’t even reveal her name, but recently Reynolds at least confirmed what her name is not.

Rumors circulated early that the couple had named their daughter Violet after a supposed nurse at the hospital tweeted out a congrats to Lively, “No that’s not the name,” Reynolds stated. “I don’t want to get into that but I don’t know where that came from.”

While he isn’t about to give up details about his new bundle of joy, he had no problem gushing about fatherhood, even though lack of sleep has definitely been an issue.

“I don’t sleep very much. It’s great. It’s wonderful. But my brain is elsewhere,” he told USA Today. “It’s amazing. It’s weird to wake up in the middle of the night 45 times and always be in a good mood, in place of that. I’m not used to that, so that’s fun.”

Needless to say that while he doesn’t like being away from his wife and daughter, the one thing he really appreciates when he has to go away is the chance to sleep. “It’s still so new that it’s hard to conceive being away for more than seven hours at a time. I had to go to Sundance this last week. I was more excited to get a good night’s sleep. It was borderline pornographic for me.”
