Sarah Ferguson is opening up about Princess Beatrice’s secret wedding!
The Duchess of York shared a sweet message on Instagram in honor of her daughter’s wedding on Friday. She reportedly paid nothing for her gorgeous gown, which is great wedding budget savviness! Ferguson posted a photo of a quote by Denis Waitley, which read: “Happiness cannot be traveled to, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.”
She then captioned the image, “Thank you to all the very special and kind people that took the time and trouble to send amazingly caring and supportive messages,” Ferguson wrote, adding that “never has a mother been more proud than the wedding of Eugenie and Jack, and again with my Beatrice’s loving wedding to Dear Edo. I am so lucky with my girls, and now the best sons-in-law.”
Princess Beatrice tied the knot with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a small ceremony in Windsor on Friday morning. The couple was forced to cancel their royal wedding plans originally scheduled for May because of the global health and safety concerns.
The new ceremony was attended by a guest list of 20 close friends and family including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, and Beatrice’s father, Prince Andrew.
On Monday, Princess Eugenie shared a heartfelt tribute to her older sister and brother-in-law as well. “Couldn’t Bea happier (get it) .. ” wrote Eugenie on Instagram. “What a complete joy and privilege to watch you, my beautiful big sister, walk down the aisle to dear Edo. I am so proud of you and I’m so excited to support you in the next chapter of your life. We are going to have so much fun together. Happy wedding day to you both xxxx.”
