Saved By The Bell Star Dustin Diamond Hospitalized With Mystery Illness

Saved by the Bell star Dustin Diamond has been hospitalized.

The star’s rep released a statement addressing the mysterious hospitalization and sharing his best wishes that Diamond recovers quickly. “Dustin is in the hospital and the medical teams are doing tests to find out more,” a rep for Diamond shared. “Everyone is hoping for a speedy recovery.”

According to TMZ, Diamond was admitted to a hospital in Florida over the weekend after experiencing pain all over his body.

Fans will recall Diamond for playing the character Screech in the 1990s hit sitcom Saved by the Bell. The series has since made a comeback with a revival on NBC’s Peacock, but Diamond did not reprise his role on the new series.

The actor was the only one of the six core cast members to not appear in the revival. Diamond spoke to TMZ about his absence in February 2020. “It’s something we put so much time and effort into,” the actor shared at the time. “How do you have Saved by the Bell without Screech? Right? I mean, it seems like there’s a missed opportunity there.”
