It’s not just any mini-series, folks, it’s a 10 episode, Ryan Murphy mini-series.

Selma Blair has been selected to play a younger Kris Kardashian in Ryan Murphy’s mini-series, American Crime Story: The People Vs. OJ Simpson. Kris Kardashian was married to OJ’s attorney, Robert Kardashian, until 1991, and had quite the relationship–er, friendship–with The Juice, himself.

The families were social elbow rubbers, and friends. The Kardashians even vacationed with OJ and Nicole before things went south in both relationships, and the parties from each couple went their separate ways. Look at side-by-sides of Selma and Kris, and it’s easy to see that this is casting perfection.

What an epic case this was. And who better to tell it than Ryan Murphy?

Ryan Murphy is a fascinating guy. He loves to push agenda, and he loves to entertain. Sometimes, that combination becomes a mess of forced sentiment, and at others he delivers pure gold. There’s no denying the magnetism of the OJ Simpson trial–the criminal trial, that is–and Ryan has elected to focus on the trial from the perspective of OJ’s attorneys, including Robert Kardashian, who will be played by David Schwimmer.

The cast will also feature John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, and Cuba Gooding Jr. as OJ Simpson. Connie Britton will play the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, and friend of Nicole Brown-Simpson, Faye Resnick. As noted February, Courtney B. Vance was tabbed to play super star attorney, Johnnie Cochran, and I know we can’t wait to hear him deliver the line. Oh, you know the line. It would be cliche to quote it here. You’ll just have to watch the series.

American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson is slated to air on FX later this year.
