Rumors spread very quickly from Monday November 3 to Tuesday November 4 that Charlie Sheen’s ex-fiancée, Brett Rossi, was hospitalized after overdosing.
The 25-year old former adult film actress was found unresponsive in her California home over the weekend and was rushed to the hospitalized with reports automatically indicating she had overdosed.
Someone only credited as an “insider” stated, “It was an overdose. It is not known what she overdosed on.”
This report led to several others all stating she had overdosed, although now another “insider” is stating it was not an O.D. rather an adverse reaction to prescription medication.
“The rumors that she had her stomach pumped due to an overdose are completely false. Scottine [her real name] has always been an advocate for living a healthy, sober lifestyle and has never had a history of substance abuse in her past,” the insider told Us magazine.
While Sheen called off their engagement only weeks before their planned November wedding, Sheen’s publicist stated they have been in contact since her hospitalization.
“Charlie and Scotty have been in communication and Charlie still has a tremendous fondness for Scotty and continues to wish her all the best,” publicist Jeff Ballard stated.
The former couple had a whirlwind year after meeting last November, becoming engaged on Valentine’s Day of 2014 and planned to wed November 2014 before ending the engagement and relationship. Sheen cited that he needed to focus on his children more as reasoning for the abrupt end to the engagement.
