Earlier this week on Dancing With the Stars, Tamar Braxton was able to save herself from elimination by making it back from the hospital just in time to perform her group dance.

Braxton had missed her individual routine after doctors discovered she had pneumonia, but now she has taken to Instagram to announce that she has to quit the remainder of the show and tour dates because doctors have discovered it is much worse than pneumonia.

“With a Heavy heart I regret to inform you that my season of #dwts has to come to an end along with the rest of my tour dates with @musicbykem,” she wrote in a lengthy message along with a picture of herself in the hospital and her DWTS partern Val Chmerkovskiy by her side. “After yesterday’s final #dwts performance I went back to the hospital (after the doctors didn’t want me to leave in the first place) only to find out that I don’t have penumonia but something way more serious and that is having several P.E.’s (blood clots in both sides of my lungs).”

She praised Val for being such a great partner and friend to her during her time on Dancing With the Stars and understanding her situation, taking both of them out of the competition. After Monday’s show Val had a special message for Braxton as well, stating, “Tamar, I love you. You are a trooper, you’re a great role model to your son and I’m so proud of you.”

This season of Dancing With the Stars has been plagued with health issues which also resulted in the exit of Kim Zolciak after she was hospitalized for a mini stroke.
