Suck it up Zayn Malik! Taylor Swift, the world’s reigning pop superstar recently opened up about being a pop star and unlike many in the industry (Malik) who claim the lifestyles of the rich and famous is sometimes too difficult, Swift doesn’t think so at all.
The 25-year old star recently spoke with BBC Radio 1‘s Nick Grimshaw where she opened up about being a touring star and revealed what she does think the hardest part about going on tour is.
“It’s not that hard, I’m telling you now it’s really not. Sometimes I really don’t think it’s that hard at all. When I was starting out I’d go on tour for three months and I was gone for three months. Now almost 10 years in, thank God we get to play bigger shows so I don’t have to play as many,” she explained.
Swift is in the first month of her 1989 World Tour and added it’s the touring that makes you feel the most productive. “That’s the best part of this. When you walk off stage and you’re drenched in sweat and you’re tired and your legs hurt.. It feels like you’re really working for the job. It’s nice to feel tired after a show. I’m like, ‘Oh my God. I’m finally doing something.’ I really like the feeling of, ‘You know what? I’ve been busy. I deserve this watching two hours of TV at the end of the night.'”
While she maintains that the whirlwind life of touring is “made out to be harder than it is,” she does admit there is some hard parts. “I do have to leave the cats behind when I leave the country, which is the hardest part,” she said in true Taylor Swift style.
