Taylor Swift Grants Wish Of 4-Year Old With Terminal CancerPublished on March 4, 2015.
Even though Taylor Swift, 25, is one of the biggest stars in the world right now, she is also one of the most honest and loving towards all of her fans.
The megastar has demonstrated her appreciation for her fans in many ways, she has invited fans over to her place to listen to her album and bake, she has sent boxes full of gifts to fan’s houses, she donated a large sum of money to New York City public schools, and has even given personal break-up advice.
So, it should come as no surprise that when she heard about the final wish of a 4-year old fan with terminal cancer, she did everything she could to make it happen.
Fans grouped together on Twitter to get #ShakeItOffJalene trending for Jalene Salinas who has brain cancer and whose parents have been trying to achieve everything on her bucket list for her, with one of the last being to dance with Taylor Swift to her hit “Shake It Off.”
When Swift found out about the little girl, she took the time to have a 20 minute FaceTime conversation with her and even though Jalene was in pain and couldn’t talk much she was excited to see Swift’s face and to have Swift talk to her.
“I’m so sorry you’re having a bad night, I’m so happy to talk to you though and I’m so happy you like Shake It Off,” Swift told Jalene. “You look beautiful tonight, you really do. You’re just as pretty as your pictures.”
Jalene’s mother Jennifer then thanked Swift for doing what she could to make her daughter’s wish come true. “You completed her wish list, we can check everything off and as her mom it just, it means the world to me that she got to do and see and everything is checked off now. It means so much to me that you reached out to us.”
