Taylor Swift is on the cover of People magazine’s 40th anniversary issue — and she doesn’t look like herself!
The cover is a recreation of Mia Farrow’s 1974 People cover, when the then-29 year-old was starring in The Great Gatsby alongside Robert Redford. Taylor, 24, rocks a short 1920’s hairstyle and chews provocatively on a string of white pearls.
Inside the mag, Taylor talks about enjoying her status as a single woman. “I’m not going to compromise the happiness and independence that I’ve found for just anybody,” she explained. “The idea of a date gives me a partial panic attack.”
“The last couple years have been about defining life on my own terms,” the “Shake it Off” singer continued. :Being on my own, prioritizing my girlfriends, my family and my music above everything else and trying things I never thought I’d try.” She’s even been seeing carrying her cat in her arms around New York City!
She added, “It’s really been a liberating and freeing time.”
Taylor has been traveling through Europe, riding high on the success of “Shake it Off”. In London, she was excited to get into a cab and see a copy of Vogue with her face on the cover. “It’s so wild,” she wrote on Twitter.
