A week after news of Ryan Edwards’ arrest broke, his ex, Teen Mom OG star Maci McKinney has been granted an order of protection from him until May 21 according to reports from Radar Online.
“The temporary protection order will stay in effect until their court hearing,” a clark of court for Hamilton County Circuit Court in Tennessee told the publication.
Maci, who shares 9-year-old son Bentley with Edwards, filed for the order of protection two days after Edwards’ arrest and included herself and her three children, two of which she shares with her husband Taylor McKinney while Taylor filed his own order of protection. In her court documents, Maci claimed that Edwards has threatened her, “He has made threats to show up and hurt me if I don’t answer my phone,” the docs read. She added that in 2017, Edwards showed up to one of their son’s baseball games where he “showed up under the influence of heroin and got in my face, yelling and threatening to hurt me.”
Edwards arrest came on Tuesday, March 27 and was for violating his probation related to a previous heroin possession charge. As fans know the reality star recently underwent a stint in rehab where he revealed that his drug of choice was in fact heroin. The day before Edwards’ arrest however it certainly it seemed things were turning around for the troubled 30-year-old as he and his new wife Mackenzie Standifer revealed they are expecting their first child together.
