Teen Mom OG alum Ryan Edwards has had another run-in with the law according to multiple reports.
The Ashley was the first to report that the reality star was arrested on Monday, July 23 for “previous charges or other reasons.” The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest and while the charge wasn’t specific the inmate information system has Edwards listed under the charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Fans will remember that back in March, the 30-year-old was arrested at his home in Tennessee for violating his probation in relation to a previous heroin possession and a year earlier he was also arrested after he was pulled over and police found heroin as well as several hypodermic needles in his car.
The last season of Teen Mom OG detailed Ryan’s life after entering rehab, and coming back home, after he had previously revealed that his drug of choice was heroin and he would spend up to $10,000 a week on drugs.
The news of Edwards’ latest arrest comes after he and his wife Mackenzie Standifer announced they were leaving the show, claiming that MTV didn’t “want to show Ryan as a recovering addict.”
“They also want to take Maci’s word on how I’m doing,” Ryan added to E! News. “Maci’s said she’s not going to film unless I enter rehab again and quit the show. But I’m sober.”
“The show had been paying for my healthcare and for the baby so they could film the visits and then a week ago they let me know that would no longer be the case,” Mackenzie revealed. “They’re not going to film the birth. We’re not going to be on at all. Maci can’t speak to Ryan and Ryan can’t speak to Maci – that was a mutual decision. But she doesn’t know what’s going on in our lives.”
Of course, Ryan and Mackenzie’s exit isn’t the only cast shakeup for the show. After Farrah Abraham’s exit, MTV confirmed last week they had replaced Abraham with Bristol Palin, and The Ashley reports that The Challenge star Cheyenne Floyd will also be joining the show as the fifth mom.
