On Tuesday, August 30, Bachelor in Paradise came to an end, and ABC used the After Paradise episode to reveal the next Bachelor!
There were a few names in the running for season 21’s leading man, but it is not Luke Pell, or Chase McNary, or even Chad Johnson for that matter.
Believe it or not Bachelor fans, the next man looking for love on reality TV (again) is none other than Nick Viall!
Of course he is not new to the Bachelor world at all and fans are well aware of who the 35-year-old is because not only has he been a contestant twice on The Bachelorette but also a contestant on Bachelor in Paradise once, and now he is finally getting his very own shot at love with a batch of ladies looking for their soulmate.
Viall talked about his next journey being his fourth time seeking love in the Bachelor franchise, stating, “I certainly have the practice.” He added, “I don’t know if anything really prepares you for it. … I’ve had an interesting journey throughout this process – it hasn’t worked out so far, and hopefully this time around maybe things will end up on a more positive note.”
Former Bachelor’s Sean Lowe and Ben Higgins joined After Paradise co-host Michelle Collins in welcoming Viall as the next Bachelor and offered some advice. “There’s going to be times in this that there’s no right and some really tough moments, but in the end it can really work out well and it can be the best experience you’ve ever had, so buckle up. Your life is about to change big-time, but all for the better. And Lauren and I have your back,” Higgins stated.
