The Daytime Emmy Nominees Have Been Announced

Are daytime drama audiences ready to root for their favorite soap opera stars? Let’s hope so, because nominees have just been announced for the 2022 Daytime Emmys! Which of your favourite performers from Days Of Our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (Y&R) and The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) are being recognized? Find out below!

In the category for Outstanding Guest Performance in a Daytime Drama Series, the nominees are Robert Gossett (who plays Marshall on GH), Ted King (who plays Jack on B&B), Michael Lowry (who played Dr. Snyder on DOOL), Naomi Matsuda (who plays Li on B&B) and Ptosha Storey (who plays Naya on Y&R). 

In the category for Younger Performer in a Daytime Drama Series, the nominees are Lindsay Arnold (Allie on DOOL), Nicholas Chavez (Spencer on GH), Alyvia Alyn Lind (former Faith on Y&R), Will Lipton (Cameron on GH) and Sydney Mikayla (who recently departed the role of Trina on GH).

In the category for Supporting Performance in a Daytime Drama Series, the actor nominees are Bryton James (Devon on Y&R), Jeff Kober (Cyrus on GH), Aaron D. Spears (Justin on B&B), James Patrick Stuart (Valentin on GH) and Jordi Vilasuso (who just left the role of Rey on Y&R).

Lind, Mikayla, James, Kober and Stuart were each nominated last year as well.

In the category for Supporting Performance in a Daytime Drama Series, the actress nominees are Kimberlin Brown (Sheila on B&B), Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis on GH), Stacy Haiduk (Kristen/Susan on DOOL), Melissa Ordway (Abby on Y&R) and Kelly Thiebaud (Britt on GH).

Grahn was also nominated for the Lead Performance trophy last year.

In the category of Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series, the actor nominees are Peter Bergman (Jack on Y&R), Eric Martsolf (Brady on DOOL), John McCook (Eric on B&B), James Reynolds (Abe on DOOL) and Jason Thompson (Billy on Y&R).

In the category of Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series, the actress nominees are Marci Miller (Abigail on DOOL), Mishael Morgan (Amanda on Y&R), Cynthia Watros (Nina on GH), Laura Wright (Carly on GH) and Arianne Zucker (Nicole on DOOL). 

In the category for Outstanding Daytime Drama Series, the customary four soap operas – B&B, DOOL, GH and Y&R – are joined by Beyond Salem.

The 49th Daytime Emmys will air live on June 24th. The Creative Arts & Lifestyle Ceremony will air on June 18th.
