Happy Hump Day indeed as it seems Channing Tatum and the rest of the Magic Mike XXL crew chose the day to release the first official teaser trailer for the film wisely.

Tatum as the film’s lead surprised the audience on the Ellen DeGeneres show on Wednesday February 4, to talk about the sequel to 2012’s male-stripper hit, Magic Mike and give fans their first glimpses of what to expect with the follow-up.

Stephen “tWitch” Boss who is in the sequel was already on the show, and Ellen and Channing spent several minutes marveling over his impressive body before Ellen suggested that Channing and tWitch do a dance together and, as they are male strippers, do so in only thongs.

“No there’s just nothing, there’s nothing, very little left to the imagination,” Channing joked to Ellen about the scene, “That’s why the movie is popular, Channing,” she replied.

Of course, Ellen couldn’t be more right as even though we won’t be seeing Matthew McConaughey this time, there is plenty of other shirtless hunks to fill the space.

Aside from leading man Channing, the film also features Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Adam Rodriguez and Kevin Nash, as well as plenty of new faces.

Amber Heard, Jada Pinkett Smith and Elizabeth Banks are all in the film but it is not known what part they play and new male faces (and probably bare chests) include tWitch, Donald Glover and Michael Strahan.

Director Gregory Jacobs revealed that this movie promises to be even more fun than the first, “It’s dramatic and emotional but not as dark [as the first film]. It’s such a great group of people. We had a blast making it. I hope that comes across on screen,” he told People magazine.
