The Masked Singer has crowned its season 4 winner!

In the finale episode, Crocodile, Mushroom, and Sun competed for the grand prize of the Golden Mask trophy.

The evening began with a performance by Crocodile to “Open Arms” by Journey. After taking the stage, Crocodile recalled in his clue package how he saved up his money by mowing lawns as a kid to buy the band’s 1983 album.

Mushroom performed next with a version of Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish.” In his clue package, he shared that his daughter is his inspiration for his character. He also added that he thought most people wouldn’t be able to connect his music to his name even though they’ve likely heard it on the radio.

Sun took the stage last and performed Brandi Carlile’s’ “The Story.” She hinted that viewers would likely recognize her from different eras of her career.

Once the performances were completed it was time for the unmasking. Host Nick Cannon announced Crocodile had taken third place and judges guessed Nick Lachey, Jordan Knight, and Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough. Once the mask came off, Crocodile was revealed to be Nick Carter from The Backstreet Boys.

Next, Cannon revealed that between Mushroom and Sun, it was Sun who won the show and would bring home the golden mask! The judges took guesses on who they thought Mushroom was which included Ne-yo and Pharrell Williams. Judges Scherzinger and Thicke agreed on Aloe Blacc and they were correct.

Lastly, the judges guessed who might be under Sun’s mask. Jeong proposed Mandy Moore, Thicke suggested Katherine McPhee, and McCarthy guessed LeAnn Rimes, which ended up being correct!

“This has been an overwhelming experience,” The Masked Singer winner Rimes shared. “I didn’t expect this to be this much work. I have to say. I was thinking like, I’ll come on, this will be easy. This will be fun. And it was a blast.”
