‘The Talk’: Kelly Osbourne Breaks Silence On ‘Fashion Police’ Exit

No need to over-dramatize this. Kelly said Fashion Police was the five best working years of her life.

Now, let’s talk about the real drama–the real oddity of this Kelly Osbourne interview: Sharon Osbourne.

She’s not a nightmare like Kris Kardashian-Jenner, but Sharon Osbourne is still quite a momager. In short, there’s no misunderstanding why Kelly broke her silence on The Talk. It was carefully planned, and it was decided between mom and daughter that Kelly was going to take the high road, and she would say a few words and let that be that.

Honestly, what you see in the video below is so rehearsed, it’s awkward to watch. You can see Sharon trying to milk the words out of her daughter, and then… the best part… Kelly makes her declaration: She wants to try new things.

All the while, Sharon knows when Kelly is going to stop speaking… like a bad actor picking up a cue to look toward the character who is supposed to speak next, before anyone has said anything.

Once Kelly makes her grand declaration, the audience is led into a round of applause, and Kelly kind of looks out of the corner of her eye to see her mom’s reaction. This happens around 00:28/:29 second mark in the video. It’s painful. But… Kelly’s hair looks amazing. Absolutely amazing.

Sincerity and candor would have a mom give her daughter a hug… not sell her as available for the next employment opportunity. Or, maybe it’s just me.
