Comedic superstar Tyler Perry, 45, and his longtime girlfriend Gelila Bekele welcomed their first child on Sunday November 30.
Perry and Bekele are new parents to a baby boy, Aman Tyler Perry with a source telling People magazine, “Mom and baby are happy and healthy. Tyler is so excited.”
Perry is well known for his versatility in the entertainment industry, not only can he play multiple roles as an actor, he is known to try his hand at producing and directing and hopefully he can adjust to fatherhood just as well.
Earlier in the fall, Perry got so excited talking about his new baby that he accidentally revealed the child’s gender while doing an interview with Extra.
“The greatest gift I’m being given right now is the opportunity to give the little boy everything I never had, so that’s what I’m excited about. This beautiful human being that God has allowed to come into my life for me to get to know, because they come with their own personalties, who they are, to shepard and usher him…I said him!,” Perry exclaimed near the end of his response realizing he just gave it away.
After they made sure baby and mom were healthy, Perry and Bekele sent a birth announcement to close family and friends and requested that instead of gifts sent to the baby, they make donations to Charity Water instead.
Everyone is very excited for the proud parents with one friend stating, “He will make a wonderful father. You will never find a more loving, patient, honorable or decent man than Tyler Perry. Any child would be blessed to have him as a father.”
