Season One is the second book of Kobe’s seriesย The Wizenard Series. He collaborated on the project with author Wesley King.

Kobe’s first book in the series,ย Training Camp, followed an underdog basketball team called the West Bottom Badgers as they experienced multiple magical happenings after a new coach arrives at their training grounds.
Earlier in April, King opened up toย PEOPLE Nowย about how tirelessly he and Kobe worked onย Season One.ย โThis is an underdog story,” he began. “This is a story about a kid whoโs defined himself as being as the bottom of the bottom. Heโs so used to losing so he believes he can only lose. So, this entire story is about redefining who we are and working towards our dreams. Itโs a very Kobe-esque story.”
