Kobe’s first book in the series,ย Training Camp, followed an underdog basketball team called the West Bottom Badgers as they experienced multiple magical happenings after a new coach arrives at their training grounds.

Earlier in April, King opened up toย PEOPLE Nowย about how tirelessly he and Kobe worked onย Season One.ย โ€œThis is an underdog story,” he began. “This is a story about a kid whoโ€™s defined himself as being as the bottom of the bottom. Heโ€™s so used to losing so he believes he can only lose. So, this entire story is about redefining who we are and working towards our dreams. Itโ€™s a very Kobe-esque story.”
