We Know The Reason Blake Lively Keeps Wearing Suits

Blake Lively has been spotted recently wearing a wide array of suits and menswear-inspired pieces while touring for her latest film, A Simple Favor. Initially, many were quite confused about the sudden shift of Lively’s wardrobe towards suits, but we realize now the answer is quite obvious. In the film, Lively’s high-brow character, Emily, is known for the elevated suits she wears, so Lively’s decision to wear similar looks is simply her dressing in character and giving a nod to the film.

The sharp suits are bold, sexy and strong, which is exactly the persona of Lively’s character in the film. “We wanted to make it look intimidating; she played a very strong character,” the film’s costume designer Renee Ehrlich Kalfus told The Hollywood Reporter. We personally love the shift that Lively’s made towards menswear pieces and can’t wait for the release of her new thriller, A Simple Favor.
