What Great Advice Did Ben Affleck Give To Blake Lively?

New mom Blake Lively is probably getting a ton of advice from a lot of people now that she is adjusting to life with a newborn but it turns out she received one of her favorite pieces of advice years ago, from an unlikely suspect.

Lively, 27, is featured as the cover story for this week’s issue of People magazine as she opens up about motherhood, her lifestyle website and what she learned from none other than Ben Affleck.

“I asked Ben Affleck for a great piece of advice from a director. He told me, ‘Your movie will speak to you, listen to it.'”

Those sage words of wisdoms resounded so much to Lively that it expanded way past her movie roles, “I apply [it] in every aspect of my life,” she stated.

“Whether it’s a performance or a company or a child…the best thing I can do is be present and adjust to what is working and what is now. You have to stay alive and in the moment.”

As for motherhood itself, she said, “I don’t feel like it’s a massive change,” which isn’t a huge surprise as Lively has been very open about wanting a large family and has been dreaming of being a mother for a long time.

“I’m looking forward to how one baby influences the other, and to my family as a whole, to every single chapter.”

Although Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds haven’t released details about the baby’s name or gender, a rumor went around the internet that they welcomed a baby girl named Violet when a supposed nurse at the hospital tweeted congratulations. The tweet has since been deleted.
