Which ‘Friends’ Star Did Eddie Redmayne Admit To Stalking?

British actor Eddie Redmayne, 33, is just one of several up and coming actors to take the awards season by storm while on his way to becoming a Hollywood A-lister himself.

As a newcomer however, Redmayne admitted on an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel that he is still easily starstruck by being included in the company of the industry’s best saying it’s “endlessly exciting” and “completely surreal” being surrounded and attending events with “all these people you’ve long admired.”

While it is easy to believe one could get starstruck every time they turn around while at an awards show, Redmayne admitted they are a couple of Hollywood’s biggest actresses that he just couldn’t believe he was meeting.

Recently at the SAG awards Redmayne was awarded the honor of Best Actor for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything and it was none other than Julia Roberts presenting it to him.

“My dad’s favorite film is Pretty Woman, so I think as a kid, at a pretty inappropriate age, I was watching Pretty Woman. So, this moment happens when your name gets read out and it’s such an extraordinary euphoria and it’s kind of white noise and it all kind of goes into a blur, and then suddenly, there I was sort of hugging Julia Roberts, and then I was meant to be articulate. All I could think was, ‘I want to tell my dad!'”

While that moment was exciting, he also went on to tell about another star admired by both him and his new wife Hannah Bagshawe so much they followed her around hoping to meet her.

“My wife and I love Friends. We saw Jennifer Aniston at a party and we were just incredibly inappropriate. We so wanted to meet her that we sort of literally stalked about four meters behind her for an entire evening. Eventually I think she was like, ‘Okay?’ So we got to meet her and she was as beautiful and wonderful as you’d expect her to be…She could’ve turned around and slapped us for being stalkers.”
