Avengers: Age of Ultron is one of the most anticipated movies of 2015 and with only a week before the theatrical release all of the film’s stars are very busy doing press and promotional tours, the thing is they’re kind of failing horribly.

One of the first incidents was when Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) stormed out of an interview with British journalist Krishan Guru-Murthy after he asked the star about his troubled past and while that wasn’t Downey Jr.’s fault, it did detract from the movie promotion.

Things then got worse when two of the film’s other stars Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Chris Evans (Captain America) made sexist and offensive comments about Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow character calling her a “slut” and “whore.”

Now, the heat is back on RDJ as he has apparently said some offensive things about Oscar-winning director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu in a recent interview with The Guardian.

In the interview the Avengers star was asked what he thought about Inarritu’s comments about superhero films when he stated back in 2014 that he considers them “cultural genocide.”

His response has angered many after he stated, “Look, I respect the hell out of him, and I think for a man whose native tongue is Spanish to be able to put together a phrase like ‘cultural genocide’ just speaks to how bright he is.”

The backlash was immediate as many believe RDJ was implying that Inarritu’s background and culture means he isn’t as smart as native English speakers.

This movie needs to come out and quick, before another of the film’s stars put their foot in their mouth… again!
