Li will keep the truth about Finn’s survival a secret, coming up on The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B). Unfortunately, Li’s silence will have ramifications, as Steffy makes the decision to leave L.A. Will this distance solve Hope’s problem? Plus, what obstacles will Quinn and Carter face? Let’s look beyond the spoilers with B&B plotline predictions for May 23rd to June 3rd, 2022.

12. No Memorial For Finn

B&B spoilers tease that Steffy will look to Li to provide some closure regarding Finn. She’ll ask her mother-in-law about holding a memorial for her son and wishing him a formal farewell. However, Li will push back against this idea. Is Li struggling to accept Finn’s demise, or is there another reason she won’t proceed with a memorial? Viewers who caught Monday’s episode already know the answer!

11. Plot Holes Explained

Seeing that Finn is alive will resolve more plot holes than just Li’s curious attitude. It explains why Li showed such hostility to Sheila at the hospital, and refused to let her see Finn’s body. But it also conjures up another unanswered question: Why haven’t viewers seen or heard from Jack since well before Finn was gunned down behind Il Giardino? He and Finn were on the outs over Jack’s explosive paternity secret, but surely Li has notified her estranged husband of their son’s shooting! Could he be working behind the scenes with Li as they try to protect and revive their son?

10. Why Keep It A Secret?

The new B&B promo reveals that Li is keeping Finn stable — with the help of lots of medical equipment — in her own home. “It’s time to come back Finn,” Li says to her son, who appears to be unconscious. Li appears to be trying to nurse Finn back from a comatose state. Needless to say, this explains why she’s reluctant to hold a memorial and let the world believe that Finn has passed on. However, the celebrated surgeon is also keeping Finn’s survival a secret. Is she trying to make sure that Sheila remains in prison on murder charges, until Finn can recover?

9. It Isn’t A Matter Of ‘If’…

In prison, Sheila will be looking at decades of incarceration. However, if Sheila catches wind that her son is still alive, she’ll move heaven and earth to break free of her imprisonment and reach her son. But how would Sheila find out that Finn is still alive, when even Steffy is being kept in the dark? Could Li visit Sheila and taunt her with the truth? Li despises the woman enough to do that, but it seems unlikely. Everyone will remain clueless about Finn’s recovery for the next two weeks.

8. …But ‘When’ Sheila Finds Out

Sheila vowed that she’d never go back to prison, but for the next two weeks (at least), that’s where she’ll be. Viewers can assume that Finn’s survival means Ms. Carter’s part in this storyline won’t end behind bars. Sheila busting out of prison seems like an improbable act, but nothing will drive this master criminal to a greater extreme than realizing her son is alive. Sheila will be overjoyed, and dedicate her life to finding Finn and explaining what her intent was behind Il Giardino that night.

7. Steffy and Liam

The B&B promo also features Steffy wondering aloud if Li is keeping something from her. Unfortunately, Forrester’s confidant is Liam, who she’s getting closer to with each passing day. “Is there anything I can do?” Liam asked Steffy in a recent episode. “Just be with me,” Steffy replied. Although Steffy needs platonic companionship right now, it’s rumored that Liam will struggle with romantic feelings once again. So how will Spencer react when Steffy announces that she’s taking the kids and leaving town in order to process her grief?

6. Hope’s Headache

Hope is already concerned about the amount of time her husband is spending with Steffy. However, Brooke will compound that worry by insisting that Liam should not be so involved with his ex-wife’s recovery. Will Hope listen to her mother and lay down the law before things get out of control? Steffy’s decision to leave L.A. might solve Hope’s problem in the short term, but Liam may seem emotionally withdrawn as a result.

5. A Brief Ceasefire

Speaking of Brooke, B&B spoilers state that she and Taylor will call a ceasefire. Is this because Ridge has decided to move onto the neutral grounds of Eric’s guest house? Regardless, this truce has no chance of lasting beyond the week of May 23rd, as Eric himself will have to play peacemaker between the rivals! What argument will break the ceasefire?

4. The Truth About Thomas

Ridge may be creating some distance between his wife and ex-wife, but that doesn’t mean he’s totally impartial. Now that Thomas has confessed knowing about Sheila’s attack on Brooke’s sobriety, Ridge and Taylor will make a pact to keep their son’s association a secret. Could that shared secret be at the heart of Brooke and Taylor’s next argument? Will Taylor slip up?

3. Unpredictable Paris

B&B spoilers indicate that Carter will finally confront Paris and tell her, in no uncertain terms, that their relationship is over. Unfortunately, Paris won’t agree, and Carter will be left with an uneasy feeling that she might interfere with Quinn and Eric’s marriage. Is this a strategy to marginalize Quinn, or is Paris just playing games because she’s bitter about losing Carter?

2. A Renewed Rivalry

When Carter shares his suspicion with Quinn, it’ll force his ex flame to confront Paris about her intentions. B&B fans will remember that it was Paris who told Brooke about “Quarter” last summer, which led to an embarrassing revelation for Eric at his vow renewal ceremony. Eric and Quinn have never been the same since that affair came to light, so Quinn might have an additional reason to intimidate Paris.

1. Wildcard Grace

B&B spoilers promise that Paris will push back against Grace when her mother tries (for the umpteenth time) to keep the Zende dream alive. The younger Buckingham will explain that her time with Zende is over, but will she also tell her meddling mother that Carter has rebuffed her? If so, Grace will certainly go into mama-bear mode, as she had already threatened Carter not to hurt her daughter. Paris might not have the guts to interfere with Eric and Quinn’s relationship, but Grace does!
