The more common norm is to read about how celebrities have embarrassed themselves by excessive drinking and drug use. However, unlike what most would think, there are certainly a number of celebrities that have made the personal choice to never consume alcohol. Below is a list of some of your favorite celebrities that have openly expressed their sober lifestyle.
Jennifer Hudson
One of America’s beloved American Idol contestants and finalist, Jennifer Hudson rose to fame after her debut in the film “Dreamgirls.” The actress’s decision to not drink was vocalized in October 2013 when she expressed concern about playing the role of a heroin addict by saying, “I’ve never done anything, so that was hard to play this role [of a heroin addict]. I’ve never had a drink in my life. I’m sober.”

Known for her roles in “Gossip Girl” and “Savages,” Blake Lively is one of Hollywood’s most famous young actresses. She has recently stated to “Allure Magazine,” “I don’t drink. I’ve never tried a drug.” She has also expressed that drinking is just not something that she has a desire for.

The media mogul and celebrity reality television star Kim Kardashian, who is best known for her show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” has also spoken out about the absence of alcohol in her life. In an interview with “People,” Kardashian has said, “I do not drink alcohol at all. My sisters drink, so when they get a little crazy, I am there to pull them down.”
