General Hospital is an American medical drama soap opera series that takes places in the fictional city of Port Charles in New York. On air since 1963, the series is one of the longest running dramas on American television and holds a record for most Daytime Emmy Awards for an Outstanding Drama Series! Similar to most soap opera series, the show revolves around some major families like the Quartermaines and the Spencers and has no shortage of drama, scheming, and of course, romance. With such a long running series, characters come and go all the time and viewers have seen some incredible actors on this show. 12. Laura Wright

Estimated Net Worth: $3 million. Laura Wright is well recognized for her two most recent leading roles on daytime television. Her first lead was an Emmy winning role as Cassie Layne Winslow on Guiding Light, a character she portrayed from 1997 to 2005. Right after she left that show, she moved onto Carly Corinthos on General Hospital and earned another Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress. Estimated Net Worth: $3 million. Kirsten Storms is definitely a Disney child star, but she beat the odds because she’s now a successful soap opera actress. Her first big role was a lead role in the films Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century and all of it’s sequels. He did a few guest appearances on shows before he settled into his role on General Hospital.
