12 Strange Products The Kardashians Have Endorsed
Published on September 4, 2015.If you think that the Kardashians and Jenners will endorse just about any random product, service, or business willing to pay them enough, you wouldn’t be far off the mark. Granted, they’ve fronted items that make total sense for the glam, fame-seeking squad like credit cards and fragrances, clothing lines and cosmetics, but not all of their endorsements necessarily suggest a lavishly, luxurious, and glamorous lifestyle. Take a peek at the list below and judge for yourself. Here are 12 of the strangest products the Kardashians and Jenners have endorsed.
12. Tria At-Home Laser Hair Removal System
If the Kardashian ladies look as smooth as they are sleek, then you can bet they’ll give the credit to Tria At-Home Laser Hair Removal System. Kim claims to use the system all over her body, removing any hair from anywhere that is unseemly to the celebrity. Her claims have been disputed though even resulting in a lawsuit by Radiant who says that even Tria itself makes it clear that it’s not safe for use on the face, head, ears, neck, nipples, genitals or, um, anus.

Paris Hilton isn’t the only celebrity to get sexy with some Carl’s Jr. But while Paris Hilton practically made-out with a burger in a commercial that was banned from the non-too-modest American television, Kim Kardashian decided that she’d rather order a healthy (?) salad. Appearing in a commercial for the restaurant brand happily munching on a meal that you’d probably rather get from a farmer’s market than a fast-food joint, it’s another item on the list of strange products the Kardashians are willing to front.
10. Kardashian “Couture” Lollipops
What makes a lollipop couture? Maybe the fact that they cost a whopping $25 each. Or maybe it’s just that they’re fronted and named for the uber-famous Kardashians that make them high-living treats. Whatever the reason, at one point fans were able to enjoy a stylish lollipop from The Sugar Factory based on the reality star sisters. Kim even appeared on the red carpet with her own fancified sucker shnazzied up with a diamond worth a cool $1 million. Now THAT’S couture.

Fronting a fragrance is nothing new in Hollywood, but not as many stars become the faces of fragrant candles. If you wanted your home to smell like (what the brand wanted you to think) the Kardashian’s homes smell like, then you could light up a For Every Body fragranced candle. All three of the Kardashian sisters were on board to sell the soy-based wax eco-friendly candles, the first of which was a celebration in candle-form. According to Khloe, “Our new Birthday Cake candle is absolutely to die for and it will leave your house smelling amazing.”

Have you ever wondered what gives the Kardashian sisters that certain something that captures the public’s attention? Is it talent, beauty, brains? Nope! It’s the self-tanning product they promote. If you find yourself in a tanning salon or watching late night television, chances are you’ve spotted Kardashian Glow. The self-tanning lotion that the three sisters claim to use to give themselves just the right tone and shine is widely available for those who want to face the world with the Kardashian’s sparkle. “Whether you’re stepping out on a red carpet, hitting the town, or relieving stress with a little retail therapy, you never know where the paparazzi may strike. With our premier line of tanning products, you will be photo-op ready wherever you go — bronze color perfection with a kiss of Kardashian!” Thank goodness the general public will be ready when the paparazzi strikes!

If you need a little boost, do what Kim Kardashian apparently does (and has for years now) as one of the faces of Hype Energy drinks. Kim specifically promotes the low calorie version of the drink, Hype Energy Enlite, which is pale pink in color and comes in a stylish pink can perfect for the celebrity in need of extra energy. And if you think being the pretty face behind the pretty pink cans is a pretty sweet deal, it’s not all fun and games. Just two days after announcing her second pregnancy, Kim made the trip from New York all the way to Nashville for the company’s launch event despite feeling “so f*cking sick.”
6. Kardashian GLAM Silly Bandz
What says glam more than Silly Bandz, amirite?! If you want to “get glam like Kim Kardashian” and can apparently do it the Silly Bandz way. One of the cheaper products the Kardashians are willing to endorse being in the $5 range, “a 24-piece set designed to represent each of the beautiful sisters and their varying personalities” in “a stunning collection that features puckered lips, a perfume bottle, sunglasses, a high heel, the word ‘glam’ and even silhouettes of each member of the Kardashian trio!” Well, there you have it. Even the bandz say glam so it must be true.

If you’re worried that celebrity feet are being neglected (and isn’t everyone?!) then you can put aside your fears with the knowledge that Rob Kardashian has them covered…like, sort of literally. If you’re shopping at Neiman Marcus, then you can grab yourself a pair of Rob’s very own sock line called Arthur George. Even Kendall Jenner, Rob’s little sister has been spotted wearing big bro’s socks on her now famous feet.

The three Kardashian sisters have attributed their figures not only to their time in the gym, but also to the wonders of QuickTrim. The weight loss product (which uses laxatives) faced the same legal issues that many similar products face when Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney were all sued for misrepresenting the product and laid out potential dangers of using QuickTrim. So maybe they don’t owe their famous figures to laxative-laced diet products.

When Kim made her “transition” to New York, she did what most people do when relocating to a new city. She found new digs, made herself familiar with the hot spots, and of course, found out where the best public bathrooms are. She didn’t have to look hard since Charmin had her back as well as her backside covered. “With my recent transition to New York, I’ve been checking out all the gifts the City has to offer visitors and New Yorkers alike,” Kim said in the press release. “During the holiday shopping season, I’m happy to join Charmin as they give the gift of the Restrooms near Times Square.” Kim appeared alongside two giant Charmin bears and proudly smiled during the toilet-paper totting opening event.

The younger Kardashian’s aren’t the only ones getting into the endorsement game. Mother dearest, Kris Jenner, is just as willing to be the face of any product willing to pay enough. One of those products would be Zestra Arousal Oils. In the commercial, she happily held up the magic potion and asserted, “I think men have had something to help them in the bedroom for years, and now it’s our turn.” If that wasn’t TMI from the famous family’s matron, she also added, “You can’t always plan a romantic dinner or wait for a vacation to have amazing sex, so you have to take advantage of those moments of mutual intimacy … For me, [Zestra provides] instant gratification. In a busy, complicated, hectic life, you can still fit in the time for sex, and you know it’s going to be enjoyable.” Okie dokie.
1. Kim Kardashian: Hollywood Fame Game App
When news came out that Kim Kardashian was releasing her own app based on her lifestyle, fans raised their eyebrows and critics slammed it before it was even available. Kim had the last laugh when the Kim Kardashian: Hollywood fame game app flew to the top of the download lists of both Apple’s App Store and Android users’ Google Play. People were not only playing, there were claims that some were quickly becoming addicted to the fame game and those claims may be valid considering the app was quickly projected to make over $200 million by the end of its first year. Fame game? More like the mega-money-making-machine-game.
