13 Popular Artists Who Have Never Won A Grammy!

These artists have all been nominated for Grammy Awards but, in spite of their commercial success, none of them have ever won! While some of these popular artists are no longer around, some of them are, so there is still hope! We have a list of 13 popular artists who have never won a Grammy:

13. Nas

Nas has been nominated for 13 Grammy Awards! His first was in 1997 when he was up for Best Rap Solo Performance for his Lauryn Hill-assisted hit “If I Ruled the World.” The rapper has released eight consecutive platinum and multi-platinum albums and has sold over 25 million records worldwide, but he still hasn’t won a Grammy!

12. En Vogue

Despite being nominated for seven Grammy Awards, En Vogue – known as one of the biggest girl groups in R&B – has never brought one of these awards home! The group is the 18th most successful act of the 1990s and one of the most popular and successful groups of all time. En Vogue has accumulated over 2,800 weeks on various Billboard charts.

11. The Spice Girls

The Spice Girls – one of the most notable girl groups of all time – has never even been nominated for a Grammy Award! The group’s debut album Spice sold more than 28 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling album by a female group in music history and they sold over 80 million records worldwide, making them the best-selling female group of all time.

10. Jewel

Jewel has achieved commercial successful as a singer-songwriter, but she has yet to take home a Grammy Award! She has sold over 27 million albums worldwide and has received four Grammy nominations. Her album, Pieces Of Me, is one of the best-selling debut albums of all time, going 15 times platinum.

9. Jennifer Lopez

With record sales of 75 million, Jennifer Lopez is regarded as the most influential Hispanic performer in the United States; however, despite a string of hits, she has only been nominated for two Grammy Awards for Best Dance Recording. The singer is best known for wearing a sheer green dress to the Grammy’s back in 2000 and it appears that no one is going to let her live that day down, hence the lack of nominations!

8. Aaliyah

Despite achieving widespread commercial success, Aaliyah never won a Grammy! In addition to receiving five Grammy nominations, she sold sold three million copies of her debut album Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number – which was also certified double platinum – and sold over eight million copies worldwide of her second album One in a Million. In total, the singer is estimated to have sold 24 to 32 million albums worldwide, before her untimely death in 2001.

7. ABBA

ABBA was one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of pop music, but they were never even nominated for a Grammy Award! The group was one of the best-selling music artists of all time and the second best selling music group of all time, selling over 380 million albums and singles worldwide.

6. Avril Lavigne

Since her professional debut, Avril Lavigne has sold more than 30 million albums and 50 million singles worldwide but, despite receiving eight Grammy nominations, she has yet to bring one home! Her debut album Let Go has sold over 17 million copies and her second album Under My Skin sold more than 10 million copies worldwide.

5. Josh Groban

Josh Groban – who has been been charted as the number-one best selling artist in the United States – has never taken home a Grammy despite receiving four nominations! He has, however, been commercially successful. His first four solo albums have been certified multi-platinum and he has sold over 25 million records worldwide.

4. Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj has received a total of ten Grammy nominations; however, she has yet to secure a win! The rapper-singer-songwriter has received widespread commercial successful. Her debut album Pink Friday was certified platinum and her second album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded became one of the best-selling albums of 2012.

3. Diana Ross

Diana Ross has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences; however, she has never won a Grammy Award. She received her first Grammy nomination with the Supremes for “Baby Love” and she received her first solo nomination in 1970 for “Ain’t no Mountain High Enough.” Ross is considered the most successful female music artist in history because of her 70 hit singles – more than any other female artist – but she still has yet to win a Grammy.

The Backstreet Boys have received eight Grammy Award nominations in total, but they never won any! Grammy or no Grammy, this group is considered the best-selling boy band in history and one of the world’s best-selling music artists, as they have sold 130 million records worldwide.

1. Katy Perry

Katy Perry has been nominated for thirteen Grammy Awards, but she has yet to take one home! The pop star has had a number of chart-topping singles including “California Girls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.” and “Last Friday Night.” Her album Teenager Dream became the first album recorded by a female artist in history to produce five number one hits, but she still has no Grammys!
