Most Fashionable TV Characters

A couple of decades ago, we probably wouldn’t have seen this coming, but thanks to shows like “The O.C.,” “Mad Men” and “Gossip Girl,” most TV shows have been putting more effort into styling their cast for the job. We’re pretty happy with the results. There are countless TV characters for us to emulate style-wise. Since fashion is such a big thing on the small screen, we figured that now would be a good time to round up all of the characters whose fashion-sense makes us green with envy. Here are our top 15!
Rachel Green (Friends)
Rachel Green is probably best known for her famous haircut; however, we think she deserves even more credit for her effortless style. She had the sort of wardrobe that was chic, but also accessible.

It was during season two when Summer really came into her own fashion-wise. Her clothing choices became more daring and trendy and she started to go for bold colors and fun accessories. In season three, she continued on this fashionable streak; however, by season four, she lost it again.

Olivia Pope knows how to dress for success. We loved her elegant and stylish suits and her fabulous designer coats. She really makes office attire look fashionable!

Mindy Lahiri’s might have some trouble when it comes to men; however, she has no trouble at all when it comes to fashion. We love all the bright colors and the fashion forward prints she sports. On anyone else, these things might clash, but on Mindy they’re stylish.

Even while chasing and killing vampires, Buffy was dressed impeccably. Her style was at times girly, sexy or modest. We miss the short dresses and the knee-high boots she used to run around in – they were slayer chic!

Kalinda Sharma has this effortlessly sexy style. Not many women can pull off a biker jacket, miniskirt with knee-high boots, but for Kalinda that’s just how she dresses for work.

Jess has this cutesy sort of style. She just loves to coordinate her outfits. She’ll match a colorful A-line dress with her cardigan and her shoes. She’s just so darned girly and we love it.

Claire Underwood is the classy, sophisticated woman that we all wish we could be. When it comes to her personal style, she is all about tailored silhouettes, neutral colors, trench coats and a simple pair of pumps. She definitely makes less look like more.

Serena van der Woodsen definitely had the boho chic thing going on, but she also had the classic chic thing happening too. Unlike Blair Waldorf, Serena had legs that would go on for days and she didn’t miss an opportunity to flaunt them.

Betty Draper may not have been that likable, but we must give her extra for her amazing wardrobe. She dressed the part of the perfect little housewife with her assortment of full-skirted dresses; however, she could do glamorous and sophisticated like it was no one’s business.

Even as a high school student, little Carrie Bradshaw understood fashion. She was all about bright colors and bold prints and accessories. The ‘80s were a pretty dark time for some people, but not Carrie – she did it in fashion!

Marisa Cooper’s style was unforgettable. For the first couple of seasons, she was more beachy, preppy and incredibly girly and by the third season she was more boho chic. We’re pretty sure women everywhere would still raid Marissa’s closet given the chance.

Megan Draper’s sense of style was so mod. She was all about the super short dresses, bright colors, bold prints and big accessories. In many ways, she had the most interesting style out of any of the characters on “Mad Men.” She just wasn’t afraid to experiment.

Carrie Bradshaw really loved fashion and it loved her right back. She was really experimental when it came to her sense of style. She was always mixing colors, patterns and accessories. She is proof that it pays to be bold.

Blair Waldorf was easily one of the most fashionable characters on TV. Her style was generally classic, preppy and polished, but she made sure to play with patterns, colors and accessories to spice things up. When it comes to fashion, we could all learn a thing or two from Blair.
