7. Megan Fox

According to Megan Fox, losing the weight she gained during her pregnancies hasn’t been a lot of fun. During her first pregnancy, she only gained 23 pounds. She was able to lose 13 pounds without even exercising. “I can’t work out yet because my body is still too fragile,” she said. “I try to eat whatever I want, but I don’t eat any dairy, and I guess that’s the biggest diet tip. Try and stay away from dairy – especially if you’re a woman! It’s really hard on your hormones.”

Following her second pregnancy, Fox used the low-carb Paleo diet to shed the extra pounds. “I cut out all bread and those sort of carbohydrates,” she said. “No crackers, no pretzels, no chips. Nothing unhealthy. The worst thing I put in my body is coffee, once a day. I don’t have any cheat days, but if I did, it would be pizza or cake.”

6. Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian didn’t have an easy pregnancy. She gained a lot of weight and received a lot of criticism for it. “I had a really bad pregnancy and I gained a lot of weight and I did not feel good about myself. I felt probably the lowest I have ever felt in my life,” she told Channel Nine Today. “Just yesterday I saw a clip of me when I must have been about eight months pregnant – huge! I said, ‘guys, just wait until I have this baby, as soon as I get my body back and I feel good about myself, I’m going to do some naked shoot so just be ready.” And that she did!

After she gave birth to North, the reality TV star went on the Atkins diet and began working out regularly to shed the post baby weight. Unfortunately she says she’s had grave difficulty losing the last fifteen pounds.

5. Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow may have a reputation for being an elitist; however, at the end of the day, she experiences some of the same struggles as the average woman. After she had her second child Moses, she had grave difficulty losing all of the baby weight. “I could not get off these 20 extra pounds,” she told Oprah. “I don’t know if something changed. I don’t know if it was being older and being in my 30s instead of my 20s…I [was] 34 when I had him, and I just couldn’t get it off. It was kind of demoralizing.”

It wasn’t until the Oscar-winning actress teamed up with Tracy Anderson that she was able to lose the rest of the baby weight. She gave up her macrobiotic diet which, according to her, caused her to gain weight and began exercising for two hours a day six days a week with her trainer or on her own.

4. Zoe Saldana

It has been almost six months since Zoe Saldana gave birth to her twin boys and she is have some difficulty shedding the pregnancy weight. “I was 160lbs (at the peak of my pregnancy I reached 185lbs),” Saldana wrote in her Facebook post. “I had no flexibility, weak joints, and exercising was painful. We started with just walking, I think I only walked that first month.”

According to her, pregnancy has changed her body. “Your body changes dramatically, inside and out. You grow in places you never knew you could, and you are tired beyond belief. In some cases more than others, your body experiences a kind of trauma through childbirth that is difficult to explain unless you’ve had that experience. My case was like that, everything from my thyroid to my platelets crashed. Thank God, we are all doing great now, but my body was really bent out of shape after the boys were born,” she wrote.

3. Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson gained close to 70 pounds during her first pregnancy and had to lose it in three and a half months, which wasn’t easy. For her second pregnancy, she made sure not to gain as much weight; however, losing all of that weight wasn’t easy either. She had to exercise like a fiend. “I devoted six hours a day to a vigorous workout regime. I would do 45 or 55 minutes of cardio then an hour of Pilates or yoga, three times a day,” she told Daily Star UK.

While the Oscar-nominated actress likes to work out extra hard, she doesn’t believe in dieting. “I’m not a dieter. I’m in the wrong family to be a dieter. My mum is always making chicken and dumplings. And I love scones, with clotted cream and jam. I can’t not eat them!’ she said. It’s nice to know that one doesn’t need to diet to get that kind of post-pregnancy body, but you gotta work for it in other ways!

1. Kristen Bell

Kristen Bell is one of the few celebrities who were pretty realistic when it came to losing the baby weight. “I’m definitely trying to lose [the baby weight] – I want to be clear. But I’m not letting it keep me up at night and I am not letting it become the narrative of my life for the next year,” she told E! News.

The former “Veronica Mars” star didn’t stop there. “I refused to worry about something I could not change, and I still refuse,” she told Redbook. “Look, I’m like any other woman. All this evolved b.s. that I’m telling you is my mantra: It’s not something I practice naturally. I had to surrender to not worrying about the way I looked, how much I weighed, because that’s just part of the journey of having a baby. I am not a woman whose self-worth comes from her dress size.”
