8. Leaving General Hospital (Part One)
He worked on General Hospital for over 20 years, but left the show in 2012 and then joined the cast of The Young and the Restless that same year. According to him, he left GH for Y&R because of money. “What you and I both know – that ‘GH’ didn’t make a deal with me. And that’s the truth. My contract was up and they didn’t want to play ball and make it work. At the time, I didn’t want to throw anyone under the bus over there but of course, as soon as it was announced I was going to ‘Y&R,’ people thought the whole thing was planned by Jill on Day 1, which it was not,” he told TV Guide. General Hospital must have made a better deal with him because he left Y&R in 2017 to go back to GH.
The former General Hospital star was born in Indianapolis, Indiana but, after his parents divorced, he moved to Cleveland where he was raised in the suburb Richmond Heights before moving to Hollywood to live with his dad. He finished high school at Beverly Hills High School in Beverly Hills, California.
