8 Celebrities Who Are Clearly Not Over Their Exes

Published on June 17, 2016.

Love can be a fickle thing – just ask these celebrities! While the stars on this list have all split from their famous partners, it doesn’t mean they’re over things. In fact, they’ve made it known they’re still pining away for their exes.

8. Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez started dating in 2010 and had an on-again off-again relationship before calling it quits by 2015. Speaking about their relationship, Gomez said she had had enough of the instability. “I’m so exhausted. I honestly am so done. I care about his health and well-being. But I cant do it anymore,” she told magazine in February 2016. Unlike Gomez, Bieber isn’t ready to give up on their unsteady history. In an interview with Billboard, Bieber said, “I’m proud of the woman she is today. When you love someone that much, even if something comes between you, it’s a love that never really dies.” His Instagram posts also show he’s not over her. In March 2016, he posted a throwback picture of the couple kissing and captioned it, “Feels.”

7. Brandi Glanville

Brandi Glanville was married to actor Eddie Cibrian for 8 years until he had an affair with country singer LeAnn Rimes in 2009. The high-profile affair tore apart their marriage, especially when Glanville found out that LeAnn hadn’t been the only woman he was seeing during their marriage. She made the divorce proceedings difficult, telling her listeners on her Unfiltered podcast, “That motherf—-r had to work to get my signature!” Although several people have told Glanville it’s about time she got over the affair, she continues to discuss the fallout. “I think that it’s because a lot of women and men kind of brush it under the rug, and not a lot of them take the low road and fight back,” she said.

6. Nick Cannon

After 7 years of marriage, Nick Cannon filed for divorce from his wife, singer Mariah Carey. Initially, the divorce proceedings moved along smoothly, with the couple mutually agreeing on joint custody of their children and the division of property. But as of June 2016, Cannon seems to have changed his mind. According to TMZ, Cannon is refusing to sign the final divorce papers, which is dampening Carey’s plans to marry her fiancé, Australian businessman James Packer. Sources say Cannon has unresolved feelings for Carey and can’t bear to let her go. You’re a little too late, Nick.

5. Robin Thicke

When Robin Thicke and Paula Patton separated in 2014, they made a civil announcement: “We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.” Unfortunately, Thicke seemed to miss the whole ‘mutual’ part. The singer made countless public statements that he was trying to win back Patton’s love. At the 2014 BET awards Thicke performed a song but not before stating, “I’d like to dedicate this song to my wife, and say, ‘I miss you, and I’m sorry.’ This is called ‘Forever Love.'” Then there’s album he made about their relationship that was, not surprisingly, titled “Paula.” The album was a flop, and Thicke later admitted that his record company didn’t want him to release it in the first place. “What I thought was romantic was just embarrassing,” he said. Since then, the pop singer has moved on to dating models half his age, which doesn’t convince us that he’s over his marriage.

4. Shemar Moore

Talk about a gorgeous couple! Shemar Moore and Halle Berry dated from 1997-1998 but kept their relationship quiet as the actress had recently divorced from David Justice. To this day, Moore speaks fondly about the relationship, which makes us wonder if he wishes they were still together. In an interview with BET, Moore said Berry completely stole his heart. “She was the first woman to really knock my socks off. I fell hard for Halle,” he stated. “I’m still grateful for that relationship. I was smitten not just because of who she was, but because we were so similar in so many ways. She was biracial, she was kind of going through the same things I was in Hollywood…Halle was a necessary experience. It made me much stronger as a man, and knowing the caliber of woman I want in the future.” Since their split, Moore has remained a bachelor and only dated casually. Might he be hanging onto the past a little too much?

3. Jason Derulo

Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo had a 3-year relationship before calling it quits in 2014. But even a year later, Derulo continued to dwell on the failed relationship by throwing shade at Sparks. In February 2016, Derulo released his song, “Naked,” that references his ex. “Yeah I broke up with my ex, I ain’t talk to her since / The only time I need the sparks is when I light up my spliffs.” Speaking about the relationship with Billboard magazine he said, “I do get tired of playing nice, especially when people think I did something wrong, or that she broke up with me. But it’s so behind me.” Clearly it’s not, Jason.

2. Sharon Osbourne

Despite 33 years of marriage, Sharon Osbourne ended her relationship with heavy metal rocker Ozzy in May 2016 after rumors that he cheated on her with a hairstylist. On her show The Talk, Sharon was confident she made a good decision. “It’s right for me because I honestly at this point today have no idea what I’m going to be doing with the rest of my life,” she said. “I don’t know where I’m going, who I’m going with. And I just need time to think. And really think about myself, about what do I really want for … Because I’m 63 years of age and I can’t keep living like this.” However, Sharon seems to be second guessing her move. She still works as Ozzy’s manager. And she attended the Download Festival in Donnington, UK in June 2016, where she was seen taking pictures of the show, and smiling while he played. Ozzy doesn’t seem to be over their relationship either because he still wears his wedding ring.

1. Demi Moore

Demi Moore doesn’t seem to be able to move on from her marriages. Moore and her second husband Bruce Willis separated in 1998 amid rumors about their estranged and non-monogamous relationship. In 2005, Moore married the much younger Ashton Kutcher. The couple split by the end of 2011 after Kutcher was rumored to have cheated on her. According to a source in RadarOnline, “Part of her wishes that she never left Bruce Willis.” She has an even more difficult time coming to terms with her failed relationship with Kutcher. After their separation, Moore struggled with drug abuse issues and eating disorders. A source close to Moore claims that she had a hard time dealing with the news of her ex’s new marriage to Mila Kunis, as well as their first pregnancy.
