9. On Location In Aspen
B&B fall spoilers recently teased that a storyline will take place on location in Aspen, Colorado. We won’t spoil anything here, but Ridge, Brooke, Taylor and even Steffy are expected to appear in these scenes. Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) recently took a break from taping to show off some of Aspen’s beautiful scenery, including a stream (or was it a “Brooke”?). “I could listen to this sound all day,” Lang wrote in the caption. “The sound of water is so relaxing to me. What relaxes you?”

8. Tanner Novlan’s Honest Answer
Lang might wish she’d never asked, because the sound of water makes co-star Tanner Novlan (Finn) a little too relaxed. Although Steffy’s hubby isn’t in Aspen for the aforementioned scenes, he couldn’t help but chime in on Lang’s post with some philosophical wisdom. “Makes me pee,” Novlan replied in reference to the babbling brook. But what kind of response should we expect from the guy who moonlights as Biberty!?

7. Denise Richards Mourns Her “Amazing Friend”
B&B alum Denise Richards posted a tender tribute to her friend, casting director Scout Masterson. “Scouty I will never forget you & the beautiful memories over so many years,” Richards wrote on Instagram. “All our talks, I could share anything with you.” Masterson passed away suddenly on September 11th, leaving many celebrity friends in mourning. Among his many credits, Masterson was a casting assistant on The World Is Not Enough, which Richards — a former Bond girl — starred in. “You are an amazing friend, so loyal & never judged,” Richards continued. “I will miss you dearly, I love you so much & we will all be here for your family.” Masterson leaves behind his husband, Bill, and their two children.

Here’s a bizarre bit of B&B trivia: Scott Clifton (Liam) has a thing for mazes. The actor recently posted a pretty impressive maze he’d designed for his son. “First, find the key, then defeat the dragon,” Clifton explained, “and use the key to unlock the treasure chest containing the ‘magic torch’, which will melt the ice wall blocking the finish.” Actress Kim Matula (ex-Hope) then commented with some insight on her co-star. “This was one of the first things I learned about you!” she exclaimed. “You liked to doodle mazes. 12 years and a kid later, you’re still nailing it. Nice.” So, did everyone manage to melt the ice wall?

5. Sean Kanan’s Plan To Get Rid Of Sheila
Deacon had a few opportunities to kick Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) out of his life, but they’ve all passed him by. However, Sean Kanan has put a fair bit of thought into getting rid of his character’s roommate. In a new episode of Bold Live, a fan asked Kanan how he’d deal with Sheila — and the actor didn’t miss a beat! “He’s going to get her on some kind of a transportation out of town,” Kanan said, pointing out that Deacon’s “buddies that he met in prison” would provide an assist. “He’s going to maybe create a little bit of a network with some of his prison contacts,” Kanan added, “and say, ‘You know what, Sheila, in another place and another time, you and I could’ve been magic.” Not a bad ending…

4. Curious Company For Deacon And Sheila
Interestingly, Kanan has been spending some free time with Brown and The Young and the Restless‘ (Y&R) Melissa Ordway (Abby). The three have been helping out at Camp Dream, a getaway for children and young adults with special needs. While there may be no connection between these three daytime actors apart from their community involvement, it’s interesting to note that all three have time away from taping. Is this a coincidence, or could the crossover event bring Sheila to Genoa City, and somehow involve Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor?

3. Jacqueline’s Moment Of Zen
The expression “a dog’s life” should look a lot more like this! Jacqueline MacInnes Wood is a new mother for the third time, so she knows the value of a quiet, peaceful moment. In a new Instagram clip, the actress shares a shot of her newest little one, Brando Elion, bouncing away while her two pit bulls — or “guard dogs”, as she calls them — look on.

2. Heather Tom’s B&B Future
Actress Heather Tom’s scenes as Katie Logan have been so few and far between lately that speculation has grown about her future with the soap. In a new interview, Tom has revealed her future plans – as far as she can see them, anyway. “I don’t want to obligate myself to anything,” she told Soap Opera Digest. “I love Katie and I love acting. I’ve been doing it my whole life and yet directing is really exciting. I’ve always wanted to keep learning no matter what, and this is an exciting way to do that.” So we’ll still get glimpses of Katie, but not much more than that!

1. The “Oasis” Of B&B
B&B and its sister-soap Y&R may tape across the hall from one another, but it sounds like the two shows have very different work cultures. As Heather Tom reflected on her soap opera career in that same interview, the six-time Daytime Emmy winner hinted that things are much greener on the B&B side of the studio. After a couple of years at One Life To Live, Tom returned to the CBS studio where she’d spent 13 years at Y&R. “Honestly, when I got there, I was like, ‘Who knew this oasis was across the hall this whole time?'” Hmm… does that make Y&R the desert?!
