Cast Of The Practice: Where Are They Now?
Published on December 6, 2017.The Practice was a legal drama created by David E. Kelley that ran for eight seasons from 1997 to 2004 on ABC. The Emmy Award-winning show centered around Robert Donnell and Associates law firm and all of its high profile criminal and civil cases which often reflected what was happening in the news at the time. The show was extremely successful and even spawned a spin-off series called Boston Legal! It’s hard to believe the show has been over for nearly 15 years, so let’s check in and see where the cast of The Practice is now…
8. Michael Badalucco
Michael Badalucco is no doubt best recognized for his role as Jimmy Berlutti on The Practice. This role earned him an Emmy Award back in 1999 and was his first main role in a television series. He hasn’t taken on any other main roles since, but has done numerous guest appearances on other primetime shows, and even reprised his character, Jimmy, for shows like Ally McBeal, Boston Public and Gideon’s Crossing! He co-starred in the films In My Sleep, Finding Hope Now and Rules Don’t Apply, but his career remains mainly on the small screen.

Lara Flynn Boyle is well known for her performance in the cult classic TV series Twin Peaks, as well as The Practice. Since 2004, Boyle has done guest appearances on other shows like Las Vegas, Huff, and Law & Order. Her main focus seems to be on the big screen because she’s held co-starring roles in Have Dreams, Will Travel, Baby on Board, Life Is Hot in Cracktown, Land of the Blind and Hansel & Gretel Get Baked, which she’s also credited in as an associate producer.

LisaGay Hamilton is not only known for her roles on-screen but also on-stage. Her best-known role is as attorney Rebecca Washington on The Practice, but she’s also well credited in the theater. This lady has been busy since The Practice ended! She won a Peabody Award in 2005 for creating and directing the documentary Beah: A Black Woman Speaks. In addition to her main role in the TNT show Men of a Certain Age, she’s held a recurring role on House of Cards, done many one episode appearances on primetime shows, and began a regular role in the new series Chance. She has held big and small roles in a number of films, at least one every year since 2004. And in 2010 she joined the faculty of the California Institute of Arts’ School of Theater. Hamilton is slated to appear in three upcoming movies set to be released in 2018.

Best known for her role as Lindsay Dole on The Practice, but since the show ended she’s gone on to have two other main roles on Lie to Me for three seasons as Dr. Gillian Foster and then Jackie Clarke on Army Wives in 2012. He lasted notable role was in the series Ties That Bind, but unfortunately, it was cancelled after one season. In addition to these three roles, Williams held small roles in shows like The Fosters, Men in Trees, and Medical Investigation, but nothing has come close to the success of The Practice.

Dylan McDermott earned a Golden Globe and an Emmy nomination for his role as Bobby Donnell on The Practice. It was definitely his first notable role on television. Since then he’s held main roles in the first two seasons of American Horror Story, the TNT series Dark Blue, and the short-lived CBS dramas Hostages and Stalker. In addition to all this, McDermott has been in many, many films, most of which were co-starring roles. For example, he appeared in Blind, Survivor, The Messengers, Burning Palms, The Campaign, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower (just to name a few). In 2013 he launched a Photography Exhibition in Montreal, Quebec to raise money charity and plans to continue to do so at other locations, but acting has definitely been his main focus.

This actress has never been short of any work and is well known for first her lead role in The Practice, but later Ghost Whisperer, Person of Interest, and as Elvis’s mother, Glady’s Presley, in the mini-series, Elvis. After wrapping up her time on The Practice, she earned a Golden Globe and Emmy nomination in 2005 for her role on Elvis and co-starred in The Hot Flashes and Cop Car films. Manheim has also done several made-for-TV movies and held guest roles on shows like Harry’s Law, Criminal Minds, Hannah Montana, and Younger. She will be co-starring in a new mini-series called Waco which is set to air sometime in 2018.
REX2. Marla Sokoloff
Marla Sokoloff is mainly known by fans for her role as Lucy Hatcher on The Practice and Gia Mahan on Full House and Fuller House. When Private Practice ended in 2004, she did the majority of her acting on the small screen with made-for-TV films but did land a co-starring role in the film Play the Game and Bionicle: The Legend Reborn. She landed a main role on the show Big Day, but it was cancelled after only one season. Other than that, she’s held small roles in The Fosters, Modern Men, Grey’s Anatomy, done a few one episode appearances, and is currently working on her recurring role on Fuller House.

His role as Eugene Young on The Practice remains to be his biggest, most well-recognized role to this day. Since the show ended in 2004 he’s continued to work in both film and television. He’s held co-starring roles in the following films: Quarantine, 12 Rounds, In Your Eyes, and Burning Sands, as well as smaller roles other films. A decade after The Practice ended, Harris landed another main role in the show Legends, but it was cancelled after one season. Other than that, he’s done many one episode appearances and held small roles that lasted over several episodes on shows like Friday Night Lights, Heist, The Batman, and Awake.
