9. Photobomb!

Nothing takes the formality out of a group photo like a prankster. And that’s a role Chad Duell (Michael) was more than happy to take up when GH stars Cameron Mathison (Drew), Lisa LoCicero (Olivia), Wally Kurth (Ned), Maurice Benard (Sonny), Kelly Monaco (Sam), Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) and Katelyn MacMullen (Willow) huddled together. Check out Duell’s impressive photobomb, as well as the looks on the faces of his co-stars, below!

8. Taking A Time-Out

Not to be outdone by Duell’s photo, Finola Hughes (Anna) posted a heart-melting snapshot of her with a white husky named Lily. It’s unclear if Lily is a new addition to Hughes’ family or belongs to a friend, but the actress admitted she is new to the breed. “I’ve never been around one before,” she added. “They are a game changer.”

7. Nicholas Chavez Weighs In On Spencer And Esme

If it seems like everyone is trying to figure out why Spencer protects Esme, it’s true — because even Nicholas Alexander Chavez (who plays Spencer) struggles to justify it! “What I have to keep coming back to is the fact that he was alone at boarding school and thinking that his father was dead,” the actor told Soaps.com. “Esme was the only person he felt he could relate to. When you have a relationship that’s been forged out of such a deep place of pain, you tend to hang on to that with everything that you possibly can.” Despite that analysis, Chavez still sees Esme as “so insane” and sees Trina as “the better choice”.

6. Sarah Joy Brown Recalls First Day Fears

It’s natural to be nervous about a new job, but Sarah Joy Brown (the original Carly) was sure she was about to be fired — on her first day! Why would GH do that? As Brown described it to The Locher Room, she was not only given “the worst-ever outfit and shoes in the history of introducing a new character”, but she’d had a mishap at the hair salon which left her with “a buzz cut with some curls on top”. The actress continued, “I remember I cried a lot before my first day, thinking I was going to be fired because my hair looked horrifying.” Let’s be real, though: no fashion faux-pas could stop this Daytime Emmy-winning actress!

5. Kirsten Storms Roasts Her Ex’s Co-Parenting Appetizers

Former real-life super couple Kirsten Storms and Brandon Barash may have gone their separate ways, but they continually bring their co-parenting A-game for the sake of their daughter, Harper. And while Storms had nothing but good things to say about her ex’s “Daddy/Daughter Dance pre-party”, she threw some playful shade as well. “Brandon’s charcuterie boards were a hit blah blah blah… I still think he copied something he found after lurking Pinterest in the middle of the night,” Storms joked.

4. No Cheating

Interestingly enough, Kirsten Storms followed that playful roasting by getting serious about her relationship with Barash, while a guest on Maurice Benard’s State Of Mind. “What’s the most helpful to our situation is, Brandon and I were friends for seven years before we got together,” Storms explained of the couple’s co-parenting success. When Benard addressed rumors that there had been infidelity between her and the Days Of Our Lives star, Storms shook her head. “That was never an issue in our relationship,” she stated. “I would not be talking to [Barash] now if he had cheated on me.”

3. Michael Blake Kruse Yuks It Up With Fans

Michael Blake Kruse, who is portraying police officer Rory Cabrera, has been mixing it up with fans over social media. “A handful of people are asking me to arrest them at random,” Kruse tweeted. “The PCPD does not operate in that fashion.” When a GH fan replied, “Well… it kinda does”, Kruse replied, “My apologies. Revisiting handbook.” Glad to see the new recruit is already a hit with this passionate fanbase!

2. Brendan Byrne Returns

Kruse isn’t the only new face in Port Charles these days. GH fans have recognized the man spying on Esme and keeping an eye on Alexis as Neil Byrne’s brother, Brendan (played by Josh Coxx). While Brendan was initially friendly with Alexis, who was in love with his brother Neil, he has since blamed Ms. Davis for Neil’s downfall and overdose. What does Brendan want from Alexis now? We’ll have to keep tuning in to find out!

1. Nancy Lee Grahn Surgery Update

After revealing that she would be taking some time off to deal with a painful cyst, Nancy Lee Grahn has updated fans on her condition. Describing surgery as a “godsend”, Grahn stated on Facebook, “I tell ya, surgery and the aftermath was a cakewalk after lugging around my little friend for three months.” As for her pain management, which had some fans warning her to avoid certain opioids, Grahn had good news. “I didn’t take even one of the lovely painkillers,” she added. “Just two Tylenol in all.” Sounds like she’ll be back on the soap very soon!
