Amanda Bynes Arrested For DUI Again – Report
Published on September 30, 2014.Embattled actress AMANDA BYNES was back behind bars on Sunday morning (28Sep14) after she was reportedly arrested on suspicion of DUI in Los Angeles.
The Hairspray star was pulled over by California Highway Patrol officers in the San Fernando Valley and taken to a police station in Van Nuys, where she was evaluated by a drug recognition cop.
The official determined she was under the influence of drugs and the actress was booked for the misdemeanour. She was later released after posting $15,000 (£9,375) bail, reports TMZ.com.
A representative for Bynes, who is currently on probation for a 2012 DUI arrest, has yet to comment on the incident. The latest police run-in is a big setback for Bynes, who battled a string of legal issues in 2012 and early 2013 before completing a lengthy rehab stay last year (13).
The actress appeared to have turned her life around in recent months and was studying fashion design. In June (14), Bynes was celebrating after all the charges relating to a marijuana possession arrest last year (13) were dismissed.
The Hairspray star was charged with reckless endangerment, criminal possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence when New York City police raided her apartment in May, 2013. During the incident, Bynes allegedly threw a bong out of the window. She was taken to the city’s Roosevelt Hospital to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and then to a police station to be processed.
In January (14), a judge ruled the case would be dismissed if the 28 year old agreed to get treatment and stay out of trouble for six months. Meanwhile, in April (14), her driver’s licence was reissued after it was suspended when Bynes was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) and hit-and-run charges in 2012.
