Cheryl Cole’s Husband Wins Damages
Published on October 20, 2014.CHERYL COLE’s new husband JEAN-BERNARD FERNANDEZ-VERSINI has been awarded damages following a legal battle over a magazine article.
The French businessman, who married the British pop star in July (14), sued the publishing company behind U.K. magazine Reveal over a story about his background and family life which was published following the couple’s shock wedding.
He has now been awarded damages from National Magazine Company following a hearing at London’s High Court on Monday (20Oct14).
Fernandez-Versini’s lawyer branded the article “deeply intrusive” and insisted the Frenchman has no desire to step into the spotlight despite his wife’s fame.
The damages amount has not been disclosed. Fernandez-Versini married Cole in a secret ceremony in the Caribbean over the summer (14) after just weeks of dating.
