18. Miss: Kelly Clarkson

Pop icon Kelly Clarkson stepped out at this year’s Billboard Music Awards wearing a full-length sequin gown that we have to admit we weren’t the biggest fans of. It seemed to buckle and pleat in all the wrong places and wasn’t the most flattering. Luckily, her sleek hairstyle and rainbow heels were killer, which really made up for the disappointing dress.

17. Hit: Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey glowed at this year’s 2019 Billboard Awards where she stepped out with long flowing caramel waves and a body-skimming black dress that fit her like a glove. We love the subtle sparkle texture of this dress that was the perfect amount of glitz without looking overwhelming or tacky.

16. Miss: Kaitlyn Dever

Actress Kaitlyn Dever attended this year’s Billboard Music Awards wearing an oversized metallic suit that we felt was an unfortunate miss. The material seemed stiff and the jacket overwhelmed her figure, which was overall quite unflattering.

15. Hit: Ciara

Ciara was a total knockout at this year’s 2019 Billboard red carpet where she stepped out in this floor-length black dress. The look featured just the right amount of drama with the plunging neckline, glitzy choker, and ruffled shoulder detail.

14. Miss: Julianne Hough

Julianne Hough is a true beauty, but this look she wore to the 2019 Billboard Music Awards was quite the letdown. The champagne color and sparkle looked beautiful on Hough, but the lack of material was a little offputting, even for a more experimental red carpet like the Billboard Awards.

13. Hit: Khalid

We couldn’t help but give a shoutout to Khalid for his dapper look at this year’s Billboard Awards! His look was crisp and tailored, but also fun with the floral patterned shirt he paired with it.

12. Miss: Sofia Carson

Disney actress Sofia Carson stepped out at this year’s Billboard Music Awards wearing a floor-length lavender ruffle gown that we were quite confused by. While the color was lovely on her dark hair and fair complexion, the overwhelming shape and ruffles on this dress were far from flattering.

11. Hit: Julia Michaels

Julia Michaels looked absolutely gorgeous at this year’s Billboard Awards where she stepped out in a highly flattering little black dress. We love the experimental shape of the neckline, which really added a glamour factor to the simple look.

10. Miss: Jonas Brothers

As ecstatic as we are to see the Jonas Brothers reunited on the red carpet, we felt quite disappointed with their choice of ensembles from the evening. Not only did all the different versions of plaid clash when standing together, but the individual outfits themselves weren’t the best either.

9. Hit: Taylor Swift

We were a little conflicted when we first saw Taylor Swift debut on the red carpet at the 2019 Billboard Awards, but we’ve concluded that we are fans of this look! While the ruffles initially seemed a little overwhelming, the minidress shape really balances the ensemble and makes the look appear girly, glam and unique.

8. Miss: Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson stepped out at this year’s Billboard Awards wearing quite the bizarre look. While we don’t mind the blazer and trousers, the metallic fringe detail seemed quite distracting and unnecessary.

7. Hit: Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul was a total bombshell at this year’s Billboard Music Awards! She stepped out wearing a white long sleeve mini dress with metallic detailing throughout. We love the glitzy, feminine feel of this look.

6. Miss: Diplo

We were totally confused by this purple western-inspired look that Diplo wore to the Billboard Awards. The blingy western ensemble complete with a cowboy hat was certainly one of the biggest fashion misses of the evening.

5. Hit: Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria was totally glamorous at the Billboard Awards this year in this little black dress. We love the flattering high-low shape of this gown and how the flared skirt complements her hourglass shape.

4. Miss: Cardi B

Cardi B is always a wildcard when it comes to red carpet fashion, but we have to admit we didn’t love this yellow look she opted for at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards. The look just lacked a little too much material to be tasteful! Luckily, this canary yellow color looked beautiful on her which was a redeeming factor.

3. Hit: Cobie Smulders

Cobie Smulders absolutely stunned at this year’s Billboard Music Awards where she stepped out in this metallic textured mini dress. This sparkly look felt like an elevated version of sequins, which was refreshing and unique.

2. Miss: Halsey

Halsey is always quite bold when it comes to fashion, which is something we love about her! We have to admit, however, that we weren’t the biggest fans of this black and indigo look she wore to the Billboard Awards this year. From the flashy shade of purple to the heavy black lace, there was simply too much going on.

1. Hit: Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra was elegant and glamorous beyond compare at the Billboard Music Awards this year! We absolutely love this long sleeve sparkling dress she opted for on the red carpet. It fit her like a glove, complimented her dark features and really brought the red carpet glitz factor.
