Fame10’s 5 Friday Fashion Favorites (June 30, 2017)
Published on June 30, 2017.July is just around the corner, and with a long weekend in our sights and warm weather on the horizon, it’s impossible to not be excited about the summer fashion celebrities have been wearing this week! Pops of red, feminine detailing and flowy skirts seem to be the trending themes this week, and we’re loving the subtle patriotism many celebrities have been rocking in anticipation of the coming nation-wide celebrations. From Gigi Hadid’s take on the Canadian tuxedo to Kate Middleton’s head to toe Gucci ensemble, it’s clear that celebrities everywhere are embracing the summer weather and donning the bright colour palettes and delicate detailing that come along with it. Follow along for Fame10’s 5 best-dressed celebs of the week:
5. Olivia Palermo
Style icon and former The City star Olivia Palermo rocked both a feminine yet practical look at a Manhattan event earlier this past week. The Amur lace-trimmed dress was a romantic shade of pastel pink and the ruffle detailing is super chic and on trend right now. Her Jimmy Choo white pointed shoes scream summer style and are a great flat option for work wear or an event where you’re constantly on your feet. She topped the look off in ladylike fashion with an adorable pink bucket bag and delicate silver bangles that perfectly tied in to the uber feminine vibe of this look.

Despite the mixed opinions on the denim on denim trend, we figured there is no better time to rock it than on the brink of Canada’s 150th birthday, and Gigi Hadid does so flawlessly! The street style icon paired distressed vintage jeans with a matching jean jacket, alongside a candy red tube top and chic booties! Hadid slicked her hair back in a polished updo and rocked a bright red pout to complete the entire look. When Gigi Hadid steps out in a Canadian tuxedo, how can we not become on board with this trend?

It’s a rare occasion when Paris Hilton makes it on the top of the best dressed list, but we had to give her kudos for this flowy maxi dress with perfectly coordinating accessories…. and pooch? Paris stepped out in Los Angeles donning a striped white and navy dress that was billowy, lightweight and perfect for summer. She paired the floor skimming dress with white pointed toe pumps, a pair of chic oversized sunglasses and an ivory handbag. Her pint-sized pooch rocked a matching navy smock that left us questioning whether the perfect coordination is adorable or repulsive. Either way, Paris looked more ready than ever for Independence Day weekend and we love how fresh and delicate this dress looked on the controversial star.

The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton turned heads in this tweed grey Gucci dress when she appeared at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum. This marks the first time Middleton appeared in the Italian label and the structured sophistication with fun pops of color really made this look stand out in comparison to her typical style of pastels and lace. Kate played up the cherry red details of the dress with a matching red clutch, and also matched the pearl studs lining the dress with coordinating pearl earrings. Although the garment was one piece, we love how the belt detailing makes it appear like a two-piece look!

No one can stop talking about the bubblegum pink, floor-length gown that Zendaya rocked at the Spiderman: Homecoming premiere. She looked like a modern day take on the Malibu Barbie doll and even had a set of pointed toe pink pumps to match! The dress was a custom Ralph & Rosso design and the electric color of the dress caught our eyes immediately. The plunging neckline, pleated bodice and high slit added flattering detail to the gown, but the real gem was the pink scarf wrapped around her neck that would look super chic flying in the wind in Barbie’s signature convertible.
