20. Miss: Emily Blunt – 2010

Emily Blunt stepped out at the 2010 Critics’ Choice Awards wearing a sleek silver dress with scalloping on the skirt. While we love the shape of this dress, the midi-length made it appear a little too casual for an elegant awards show, especially paired with these black caged heels.

19. Hit: Diane Kruger – 2010

Diane Kruger dazzled at the 2010 Critics’ Choice Awards where she opted for a satin slip dress. We love this pale lilac color against her skin tone and the sheer detailing along the dress added something unexpected.

18. Miss: Eva Mendes – 2011

Eva Mendes missed the mark with her look at the 2011 Critics’ Choice Awards. The oversized bow on her shoulder overpowered the dress and detracted from the pretty lace and sheer layering.

17. Hit: Kim Kardashian – 2011

Kim Kardashian was a total bombshell at the 2011 Critics’ Choice Awards where she opted for a silky rust-colored dress. We love the feathered mermaid shape of this dress which felt super glam and dramatic.

18. Miss: Charlize Theron – 2012

Charlize Theron missed the mark with this black gown she wore for the Critics’ Choice Awards in 2012. The drop-style waist is a difficult shape to pull off and we don’t think it worked well with this ruffled skirt.

17. Hit: Elizabeth Olsen – 2012

Elizabeth Olsen looked gorgeous in this yellow printed dress she wore to the 2012 Critics’ Choice Awards. We love all the stunning beading and embellishment involved with this look which works perfectly with a mini-dress length since it’s so intricate.

16. Miss: Elle Fanning – 2013

Elle Fanning missed the mark with this ivory floral look she wore to the Critics’ Choice Awards in 2013. While the print was quite pretty and feminine, the dress had no shape to it which wasn’t the most flattering.

15. Hit: Emmy Rossum – 2013

Emmy Rossum dazzled at the 2013 Critics’ Choice Awards where she opted for a navy sparkling dress with a cinched waist and sheer neckline. We love the combination of navy blue and glitter, which is always a show-stopper.

14. Miss: Emma Thompson – 2014

Emma Thompson missed the mark with her look at the 2014 Critics’ Choice Awards. While we love this vibrant shade of red on her, the embellished coat she decided to layer on top definitely detracted from the look and was an unnecessary detail.

13. Hit: Amy Adams – 2014

Amy Adams stole the show at the 2014 Critics’ Choice Awards where she rocked this sleek magenta dress. We love the elegant off-the-shoulder neckline and dainty black belt on this dress which really pull the look together.

12. Miss: Marion Cotillard – 2015

Marion Cotillard missed the mark with her look for the 2015 Critics’ Choice Awards. This crisp shade of white definitely looks elegant, but the shape of this dress was quite unflattering with the drop-style waist and bulging skirt.

11. Hit: Jennifer Aniston – 2015

Jennifer Aniston made heads turn at the 2015 Critics’ Choice Awards where she stepped out wearing this deep burgundy power suit. We love the plunging neckline and perfectly tailored shape of this set.

10. Miss: Kate Beckinsale – 2016

Kate Beckinsale missed the mark with her look for the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards! While we love the chic color combination of black and gold, this look had a lot of other details that seemed excessive like the puffed sleeves and voluminous tulle skirt.

9. Hit: Rachel McAdams – 2016

Rachel McAdams looked so elegant at the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards where she walked the red carpet wearing this wine-colored gown. The sleek shape, intricate beading, and minimal straps worked beautifully together.

8. Miss: Margot Robbie – 2018

Margot Robbie’s look from the 2018 Critics’ Choice awards was quite questionable! We’re all for mixing prints and textures, but the stripes and colorful bejeweled belt simply clashed rather than looking like strategic matching. Luckily, Robbie held an award in hand and seemed happier than ever, so her dress choice didn’t seem to matter as much!

7. Hit: Rachel Brosnahan – 2018

Rachel Brosnahan rocked a lovely powder pink Zuhair Murad gown at the Critics’ Choice Awards in 2019! “I have never worn pink. It makes me feel like a princess,” Rachel commented of the romantic dress. The intricate beaded designs and subtle sparkle of this look definitely made the star standout on the red carpet.

6. Miss: Kate Bosworth – 2018

Kate Bosworth is a typical red carpet all-star, but her look from the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards was definitely not one of her best! The lace garment featured a billowing hip detailing that was layered, puffy and overall quite awkward.

5. Hit: Gal Gadot – 2018

Gal Gadot was the star of the show at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards! We love that her silver gown had unique black tassel detailing along the waist that was subtle yet still an extra detail for visual interest. The plunging neckline was revealing yet totally classy, especially when paired with her sleek locks and crimson pout.

4. Miss: Maggie Gyllenhaal – 2019

We were quite puzzled when we saw Maggie Gyllenhaal’s dress of choice at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards. The silky Prada gown was a bizarre shade of light greenish-yellow and the sleeve detailing left many fashion critics quite puzzled.

3. Hit: Constance Wu – 2019

Constance Wu stole the show at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards in this striking champagne number by Rodarte. The hand-beaded sequin dress fit her like a glove and the unique ruffles along the sleeve were a gorgeous unexpected detail.

2. Miss: Olivia Munn – 2019

Olivia Munn had a highly questionable polka dot moment at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards. The star opted for a black and white look that was anything but simple. From the ruffles to the varying sized polka dots to the heavy sash, this look seemed to have everything, but not in a flattering way.

1. Hit: Poppy Delevingne – 2019

Poppy Delevingne had all eyes on her at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards in this flowy Oscar de la Renta dress. The number was the perfect combination of elegance and sultriness, which is exactly why we loved it.
