’13 Reasons Why’ Announces Final Season Premiere Date With Emotional Cast Video

The series first started as Hannah Baker’s story in the Netflix drama’s first season and later evolved into its other main character’s stories: Clay, Tyler, Jessica, and so on. For three seasons now, fans and viewers have watched these teenagers face tough decisions as they’ve come to terms with the parts they all placed in Hannah’s sudden passing. And now, 13 Reasons Why is going into its final season, it will be interesting to see how the show handles Bryce’s passing.

Netflix recently released a behind-the-scenes video on Monday, May 11, announcing that 13 Reasons Why will return for its final 10 episodes – a shorter season than past ones – on June 5. The final season’s logline reads: “In the series’ final season, Liberty High School’s Senior Class prepares for graduation. But before they say goodbye, they’ll have to keep a dangerous secret buried and face heartbreaking choices that could impact their futures forever.”
In the tearjerking video of the cast’s last days on set, you can ear Alisha Boe weepingly say, “I will never forget this experience for the rest of my life, so thank you.”
The final season of 13 Reasons Why will also include some new faces. Gary Sinise of CSI: NY will appear in the series-regular role of Dr. Robert Ellman, a family therapist who tries to help Clay with his mental health, and Jan Luis Castellanos (Marvel’s Runaways) as Diego Torres, the high school’s football team leader who is struggling to understand the loss of Bryce.
