Bold And The Beautiful Actors Pay Tribute To Co-Star Betty White
Published on January 4, 2022.The news of Betty White’s passing on December 31st, 2021 stunned the world. Her enormous talent left a lasting impact on film and prime time television. However, White also made contributions to soap operas – and the work she did on The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) was among her personal career highlights.
Fans will recall that White had a recurring role on the CBS soap from 2006 to 2009, playing Stephanie Forrester’s mother, Ann Douglas. And in the wake of White’s passing, B&B actors paid tribute to their former co-star.
John McCook, who played her son-in-law during her stint on the show, shared a glimpse of her outlook and humor on Twitter. “Betty was glad to admit she was there in the earliest years of television: she said when your TV set broke down, SHE would come over and fix it… God bless her memory.”

Katherine Kelly Lang also paid her respects to the television icon, tweeting “Betty White… such a legend! It was an honor to work with her on B&B. What an amazing career she had and what a special lady.”
“She always had a smile on her face and spread a lot of positivity,” Lang added, calling White “an icon”.
Despite her happy personality, White’s work on B&B was among the actress’ most cherished career milestones because her character, Ann Douglas, wasn’t funny at all. Unlike her comedic work in The Golden Girls or feature films like The Proposal, White had the chance to show off her serious side, and she relished it!
“[B&B] is such a great show to work on,” White told Tulsa World in 2009. “They are the nicest people in the world and they greet you back like a member of the family – even though it’s a member of the family they don’t like on camera.”
“It’s also, for me, such a great stretch because I don’t get the chance to do serious acting, so to get some serious things to do was kind of fun.”
