Christina Aguilera Says She Doesn’t “Need A Wedding” To Matt RutlerPublished on February 13, 2015.
Earlier this week pop diva Christina Aguilera, 34, finally introduced the world to her adorable daughter Summer Rain to posing for the cover of People magazine’s Feb. 23 issue.
Aguilera couldn’t stop gushing about her first daughter and first child with fiance Matt Rutler, admitting Summer Rain already has her parents wrapped around her little finger. “Her smile lights up a room and I know it melts mama and daddy’s hearts. She laughs a ton and is easy to make smile. She wants to be where the action is!”
With a perfect little family and happy engagement it would seem marriage is the next step but she revealed they are by no means rushing into it. “Having just moved into a beautiful new home we call ‘the Sanctuary,’ having a baby, and now being excited to get back to work, I have my hands full and am not in a rush to set a date. I want to plan it and cherish the moment, while not feeling rushed.”
“Our love is secure enough that we don’t need a wedding to prove our love and commitment,” she continued about her status with Rutler whom she became engaged to on Valentine’s Day in 2014.
Right now Aguilera is looking forward to getting back to work after “stopping the world for Summer” and will be returning to her coach’s chair on season eight of The Voice which is premiering on Feb. 23. “Right now my focus is geared on my work […] So before I think about having any more I want to get back to me first. I do think that’s important for all moms,” explained the mom of Summer Rain and son Max, 7.
